Bogus addtitional fees
We bought a van from longmont ford in november 2005, the vechile was used with 37462 miles on it. Due to being a used vechile we purchased an exteneded warrenty for the van. In our paperwork on the warrenty says in black & white that if we are more then 40 miles away from the selling dealer we can take it to the nearest ford dealer. our van went in october of 2008 for the out put shaft bearing, now the dealer found other problems with the van, they fixed what they found wrong with it but not what we originally took it in for. we got our van back after them having it for 4 weeks. They told us that they would order the part for a piece of mind, it took 2 weeks to get a part in(understandable sometimes), but the part came from colorado. week 3 after having it back they call us to bring the van back to do the out put shaft bearing, as that 3rd week came around the van started to make more noise, as we found out the rear end went out on it. when took back into them at the end of november of 2008 & they just got done with it last thursday, but we still do not have it cause they added all these fees for storage fees, part handling fees, transfer part fees, fluid, & oil fees, which the service center did not contact to let us know about these fees. when we called them to find out why, what, how, they proceeded to tell us to take it up with our warrenty. we did but warrenty told us they were covering everything but storage fees & fluids. so the bill says we owe $142.00 for fluids, but between my husband & I our companies can get the fluids at cost to where we would get charged $30-$40 for the fluids, but the service does not want to work with us. to find out longmont ford told us that if we would of took the van to them we would not have to pay the fees, but they wont cover them either on our behalf of buying the van from them. so we still dont have the van cause we dont have the $ to get it, but yet we still have to make payments. How srewed do u think we r now. Im advising u to not buy from longmont ford or deal with any spradley barr fords, stay clear cause the owner is just as bad as the rest of them.
