Service
I have been a long time sprint customer since 2002. Sprint has to be one of the worst providers I have ever dealt with. I am having to call them on a monthly basis regarding issues with my Phone. Their excuse all ways seem to be the same towers are down. I am unable to text, receive incoming or make out going calls. Sprint is quick to call and remind when you owe them however they can not provide the service for the money you are paying. I am fed up to no end. There has to be a solution when it is an ongoing situation. I am sick and tired of excuses. If I called witha n excuse as to why you will not get paid then you all would not have an understanding. Get it together SPRINT!!!

Termination of account number
I singned with sprint by 7/22/10 for my wireless phone, now I received the letter from them that my wireless phone violate the terms and conditions of the service plans, because the overall usage exceeds one the existing criteria for roaming services, I lived in Clintonville WI when I singned up for my wireless they don't told me that Sprint did not have antenna for this area, what they did to sold the wirelees to me was using diferent zip code to connect the service I did not know that until couples days. I can belive Sprint did not cover Clintonville area but it cover Shawano that is 14 minutes from Clintonville, and it cover New London the tis 16 minutes from Clintonville, is very sad that strong company like sprint did not take care a good customer, after I have all my contacs and everything set-up in my phone now I have to start over againg with another phone company because the negligence customer service of sprint. I am very disapointed with this company they are very selfish because is just looking for them, but they not look for any solution or give me a call to try to find the way to resolve the problem no just they sended to me a letter and that it. I will dont recomment this company to nobody. I did not violate the terms and conditions Sprint the seller did to sold to me a phone using different zip code. I belive your company losted a good customer like me but I belive your company dont care about it, next time I wiil shoping around better before I jump in a company like Sprint that have poor servive, I belive I should find a better Wireless Company better than your.

cell service does not work
In spring 2010 I signed up for a 2 yr service contract with Sprint PCS. Immediately upon receiving the cell phone and powering it up in my home, I know there was a problem with the service as I could not keep a signal. I took the phone to the local Sprint store and explained my problem. They told me that there is a service tower very clsoe to my home and they could see no reason why I couldn't get service inside my home. I literally had to stand in a certain spot in my backyard to get service on my cell phone. Over the course of several months of complaints, they finally mailed me a device known as an Airave- some spme of mobile antenna that is hooked up to my computer modem. This device works intermittently. I ended up having to purchase a landline so taht I can have consistent phone service in my home. I should NOT have to incur additional cost because Sprint refuses to let me out of a contract that clearly is not going to work in my home for whatever reason. The Airave device goes down at least twice a month which is very very frustrating and time consuming as I have to spend yet MORE time on the phone with them to reset it. It never is a quick fix, it always takes several hours.
I want Sprint to let me out of my contrasct so that I can get service with a company who can provide me with consistent phone service. I should not have to apy for a service that does not work as promised.

Sprint's insurance scam
How to protect yourself from Sprint's insurance scam
When you upgrade your phone with Sprint, do not accept $20 in exchange for your old phone. This is a ploy so that you have to buy insurance, which actually gives you very little for your money.
Insurance is not a bad thing if it actually covers you, but with Sprint's insurance, for $7 per month, if you lose your phone or it breaks and you need a new one, you'll still have to pay a $100 deductible for a smartphone or $50 deductible for a regular phone. I paid $150 for my smartphone when i first purchased it with Sprint, but with Sprint's insurance I'd have to pay two thirds of that value for a replacement! So what's my $7 a month for then?!
To add further insult, the ‘new’ phone will not even be new, but a refurbished old phone, probably broken by some previous Sprint customer sucker.
However if you've kept your old phone, you can simply get them to reactivate that. It means you need no insurance and you need never pay for a new phone until you become eligible for your next upgrade, whereupon you will be sold a brand new phone at a substantially reduced price.
Perhaps, if, after several years, you find that you have accumulated old phones, then why not give Sprint your oldest, crappiest phone for the $20 and teach them a lesson about being suckered. Whatever you do though, always keep the phone from which you have just upgraded, as that old phone is now your insurance.
The tracker ball on my husband’s Blackberry stopped working, Sprint refused to fix it, made him buy a new phone and then gave him $20 in exchange for his 'unfixable' old phone. Suckered !!!

overcharged on bill
Called Sprint on 07-03-2010 about our phone bill for the period of May 28- June 27 to have our account straightened out because we believe that we are being overcharged. They are saying that we have exceeded our minutes by 357 which we(my wife & I )have never exceeded our minutes, especially not by no 357 minutes in a month. We know how many minutes we have on our plan and make it a point not to exceed those minutes.Upon our attempt to try to get this taken care of we were either hung up on or there was no response at all from any Sprint Reps.

Representative lied
I called on 6-9-2010 and talked to victoria in albuquerque, nm. I told her my total current monthly bill was $49 and i wanted to stay within a few dollars with my new plan. Victoria told me that my new total bill would be $51.60 + tax + $7.00 insurance with my discount. I called today 6-18-2010 and talked with several representatives and was told my bill was $54 + $10 + $7 + tax much more than She had told me. I complained and told him I would like my old phone set up with my previous account he told me that could not do that. I was lied to and now I will not be able keep my phone. Classic bate and switch. I would like sprint to honor what their representative Victoria told me 51.60 + tax + insurance (a credit of 28.39 monthly).

Wants me to pay for their mistakes
I had a Samsung Moment that I purchased at a corporate store. Several months later it stopped holding its charge. I went to a repair store not knowing it was actually an independent repair store and was told it could not be fixed. They exchanged the phone instead of having a new one mailed to be because it was unsafe for me to be without a phone for days. Within 30 days the new phone malfunctioned and its start and end call buttons did not work properly. I called Sprint and was told that they would not exchange the phone because it was from an independent store instead of their corporate store. I tried to explain that I couldn't return it to the store it had come from because they had exchanged it as a favor to Sprints corporate office and weren't going to take it back. The person on the phone started yelling at me. I asked if I could cancel my service and send the phone back to sprint in exchange for having my termination fee waived. An accounts rep got on the phone and yelled at me. I was nearly in tears and got off the phone. I later spoke to a rep who told me I could call Samsung and have them replace my phone under manufacturer warranty. When I spoke to Samsung they said I had to send my phone away for three weeks and that if the phone was irreparable then the warranty was voided. I am a Mayo Clinic patient and a young disabled veteran and can't be without my phone. My only option was to find a new phone carrier. It was a huge issue to change service and to go through all of this. I also had to pay connection fees at T-Mobile and pay part of the cost of a new phone all because of Sprint's bad service. I later spoke to Jeff Fortner in Sprint's Executive and Regulatory Services to ask that my $160 early termination fee be waived and was informed that this was not a possibility. He says that they told me to take it to a sprint repair store but refuses to provide me with copies of the notes from my own account documenting that saying they are proprietary information.

Cell Phone - Poor Phone/Service
Lucille Petroskey
I purchased an Exclaim on 12/23/2009. The phone would not charge properly and was replaced on 12/28/2009. In the next month the phone was replaced again because of the same problem. On March 27 the phone was replaced with a Samsung Rant. This is phone number FOUR. And it doesn't even charge after being on the charger for 12 hours! I believe this replacement phone is a reconditioned phone - no instruction manual, box, etc. I have been a customer for at least 10 years. As Todd, the manager at the Temcula store said, "You had your last phone for three years and never a problem." So I am off to buy from another provider and dare Sprint to come after me!!!
