Being a new owner of a Ssangyong Kyron and reporting a defect in material and workmanship within a year period only to be told that it is not covered in the warrenty as it is part of the vechiles appearance and will not be replaced. Appearance as explained in the warrenty book is sheet metal, paint, or other appearance defects, other appearance would not include the cover for the change or cigarette holder, as it is part of the cars main console and the cover in dispute had come undone like a concertina file due to material defect and workmanship on the part of Ssangyong South Africa.

As stated in the warrenty book other appearance is very very vague but the manuel also states that should any defects in material or workmanship occur within the warrenty peiod, as in my case is three years and i have had the car not longer than one year.

That the the said part would be repaired or replaced without cost to myself as I see Ssangyong which has a great value for money product loss a re-purchase customer on their product due to them passing the buck on what is a defect in material and workmanship.

A company that does not accept responsibility for defects of parts and workmanship.
