I was offered a job in a verbal contract with Jeff Jewell, 18 months after enrolling with the company "Staffcare" and I took an apartment in the host city of the job, moved there, renewed my ACLS, and was available to work on the first day of the agreement. Jeff Jewell told me that subsequent to my being offered the work, they found that I had been party to a malpractice suit, and that because the payout (never brought to trial, so I never got my chance to show innocence) was more than $10K, the VA would not hire me. I had passed up other job offers, and because of breach of a verbal contract with StaffCare, I sent them a bill for lost wages, which they did not pay. All of this at a time mind you when the VA needed medical practitioners. It turns out that even though Jeff Jewell said the VA would not hire, I contacted them and found that if I had purchased my own malpractice, they would certainly hire me. This really pissed off Jeff Jewell, who told me in no uncertain terms that I must not contact the VA directly, and soon after that the doctor who had agreed to be my supervisor, withdrew his offer.
Don't do business with STAFFCARE. You can find lots of jobs without them, and make better money too.
