Staffpointe connected me with a "physician/businessmen" who was building a surgical practice in Tampa, Florida. This practice sounded a little too lucrative and legitimate to be true. I did some research and couldn't find their client's medical license in the state medical board directory. I became suspicious and called Staffpointe. They repeatedly assured me that their client was legitimate and trustworthy. Multiple management levels convinced me not to worry. I felt assured and wired $5000 to their "trusted" client for legal fees. Shortly thereafter, he changed his phone number. It was later realized by Staffpointe that this man was indeed a fraud. More research revealed that their client had been previously incarcerated for felony fraud. Now I am down $5000 and Staffpointe says they are sorry. How much is "sorry" worth in US currency?? They make a business of recruiting physicians. These are life-changing decisions and deal with the priceless commodity of patient healthcare.
Should Staffpointe not be more responsible in checking their clients' backgrounds??
