I purchased a Stanley Pressure Washer Model #1800S on April 20, 2010 for the amount of $247.49. The store was to contact me when the washer came in as they did not have it in the store. I waited about two weeks for the phone call that never came! I went down to the store and the pressure washer was awaiting my pick-up. First problem, No customer service follow-up!
I used the pressure washer a total of four times before I had a problem with the quality of the materials. The product was to have a Brass Quick-connect and coupling & Inlet adapter (where the garden hose connects to the machine) it did not the piece was plastic and quickly broke durning operation of the unit on the fourth use. I pack it back up and took it to the store where I purchased it on August 7th 2010 @11:30 am. I spoke with the sales men named Juan Carlos who told me that they have trouble with the electric units, and he only advises to purchase the gas operated ones instead. Even though he was the sales men who sold the unit to at the time, and did not even offer the extended warranty with the sales of the unit. The operations manager was called to come and assist Jonna Fowlkes. Jonna stuck to her gunns, the 90 days had just passed and as far as she was concerned I was to deal with Stanley with their warranty process. Even though I asked if I could up grade my model to the gas unit with full intentions of paying the difference. However, Jonna was asked if she sold the broken part in the store and she said yes, but never offered to get the part, or even sell me the part. I don't feel this is the kind of customer service that is needed in this economy. Where we need to make every dollar and customer count. This is why your company is loosing business and customers because of the service they receive when they have already paid for an item and something goes wrong with it.
