My name is Rhoda Shongwe, during the month of June 2010, I bought a car Jetta 5 2007 model at Star Motors at Potgieter street. I traded a Mazda 3 which was bought by somebody else the same month. The Mazda 3 was financed by West bank and the Jetta is now financed by Absa. To date the west bank account has not been settled by the dealer Star Motors. I am paying for 2 cars since July 2010. I discussed the matter with Omar who is the owner/ manager for the Pretoria branch and also spoke to Sultana at the Brits branch because Omar on several occasions mentioned that Brits office is the one that needs to settle the account. And on all occasion I requested that proof of settlement be mailed to [email protected] and [email protected]. Last week Omar send me a sms apologizing for the inconvenience and that her admin lady was handling the settlement. On Monday the 1st of November I went to the dealer to find out what was happening and he said it has been settled and will mail the proof of settlement and he left. Whilst there I contacted West Bank to find out if account has been settled and it was not. I tried calling him but did not respond. Then I send him a sms informing him that the account is not settled and requesting a cheque so that I settle the account because they are unable to do so but he never responded. Every month since July the dealer has been depositing amount of R4250 as refund for the premium that went through. I cannot be paying for a car that is being driven by somebody else. I really need your help as I do not know what to do anymore.
