Non receipt of requested ATM card
I hold a Saving account with Sector 26, Personal banking branch (PBB) of State Bank of India. I was issued a Maestro debit card from the bank initially.
Since i keep transacting a lot online, I have been requesting for a Visa debit card since last 4 months through the branch but every time they send a new type of maestro card but not the one being requested for.
I have, at the moment, 3 Maestro cards but my problems remains the same. On top of it the response time is so long that one keeps waiting just to receive a 'not required' product, repeatedly.
Can this be taken care of?

Cheated by SBI in Education loan
I had taken an Education loan of Rs.2 laks from SBI in 2002 to pursue my engineering. The SBI manager told us that time as the policy is you have to pay the interest for 4 years during your study and then you have to pay the principal amount with in 5 years without interest as this was a shared loan of my father and myself. My father paid the interest for the first 4 years i.e. 2002 to 2005 till course complete.
Then we thought that we have to pay the principal of 2 Laks in next 5 years till 2010. We have not received any kind of acknowledgement from the bank also. In 2008 all of sudden the block my father's SBI salary account which is in a different branch. When he ask to the branch they told that it has been blocked by the other branch due to non payment of education loan. We went to that branch and ask about the issue. And all of the sudden we had a great shock when we heard that the principal amount has increased to Rs. 3 laks 20 thousands due to non payment of loan. We told them about the policy what has been told to us but they told that it was a mistake by the loan officer that time and he is not in that branch now.
And since than they are deducting 3K each month from my father's account for interest so that the principal would not increase.
I dont know how can i bank charge interest for 3 years without informing the borrower about the non payment of monthy EMI, as the policy what ever they showed us, it is clearly mentioed that the loan will be repaied as monthy EMI after the completion of the course. But for 3 years i had not get any kind of alarm/letter from the bank regarding the nonpayment.
Please suggest me what i can do now.

Excess payment receive by bank
Sir,
i Sri Madhu Sudan kedia, Tusra, dt .Bolangir, Orissa has taken a loan undar SEEUY/P.M.R.Y in the name of my daughter Kumari. Anita Kedia, Which already Closed by Final payment of Rs.30, 000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand's only)under OTS Scheme on Dt.03.07.06 (Scaned copy of clearence Certificate & Money receipt enclosed).
But regret to write that:-
1.Till Date the SBI Tusra Branch people not giving the SUBSIDY amount to us Rs.7800/-(Rupees Seven Thousand's eight hundred only).
2.Further they pressure to us to deposite more money on that account and with pressure we have DEPOSITE Rs.2800/- (Rupees Two Thousand's eight Hundred only) in five installment's .
But after deposited the Excess money Rs.2800/-, we came to know thet they have collected the same amount from us, Unnesserely and now they also aggred with the same, but showing that they don't have the power to release, and they have already writedown the matter to the R.M, Bolangir on Dt.25.07.08, but they playing hide and sick game with us, in betweeen we are going to branch several time's and return with the same reply.
Due to all this Matter we suffer from Mental Tension, Time loss. Therefore I request You to kindly repay our actual receiveable amount with in a short time, with intrest and obliged.

wrong deduction from atm
myself abhimanyu, i have an salary account with state bank of India, rajnagar, gaziabad branch.
i tried to withdraw amount 3000/- from punjab national bank atm at Delhi university metro station but i neither got any money nor any transaction slip, but when i check my account balance next day from other atm, i got that amount 3000/- had deducted from my account. i gave a written application to state bank of India, rajnagar gaziabad branch, but i did not get any response from bank.

Misslead bt SBI
I took Housing Loan from SBI vide HTL A/C No. 10418121643(1818) during Aug 2004 at 8.25% Floating interest rate. I decided & changed the interest rate to Fix (9%) during Nov 2004. I paid Rs. 8199/- to bank towards fee for changing the option. The bank on its own changed the rate to 9.50% during May 2006. I protested and took up the matter. They immediately reverted the rate to 9%.
Now again during Sep 2008, SBI's Zonal Office RASMECCC Bareilly wrote to me that they will be charging the interest at the rate of 12.75%. I should pay the outstanding at once & quit banking with SBI, if I am not ready to pay the interest @ 12.75%.
I once again protested and approached to bank authorities for miss leading. How can bank do this. I opted to pay more interest to bank when bank was charging less ( 8.25% to 9%) and also paid a handsome fee for the change. Now bank is asking to pay rate what is not being charged even by private bankers at present. I wrote to all concern authorities regarding this, even to chairman SBI. But till none of them has tried to resolve the matter. The Chairman's Secretariat has written to Lucknow Head Office twice under intimation to me to resolve the matter but they did not care. At last now I am planning to for legal concern for cheating & misleading by nationalized bank of India.

Complete Disregard For RBI Guidelines
I have a SBI credit card which is a year old. Have been making regular payments till i lost my job. Post that i couldnt pay for sometime. Even after i started paying the monthly dues the collection agents from the Mahim (Mumbai) office have been calling me numerous times in the day and send their collection agent to my house. They use suedo names when they call and lie about their designations. The agents are rude and have no manners. They have even used threats and abuses. One of the girls who called me was literally yelling at the top of her voice and wouldnt listen. She said she is heading the legal team however that turned out to be a lie when another representative called me and i questioned him. He accepted that she had lied and was not at all worried about the same. I have filed a complaint wit the RBI and communicated the same to the SBI representative who called me. The SBI representative had the odacity to tell me even if i made 20 complaints to RBI nothing will happen and the calls will continue. This is the worst banks i have ever come across.

Rs. 20,000/= debited from my Father's Account
Respected Sir/Ma'am,
My Father is holding a saving account with SBI bank Begusarai, Bihar, 851101 branch.
They have also provided an ATM card with the account.
On 12-08-2009, when I checked the A/C balance, Rs. 20, 000/= have been debited from
my father account. On 13-08-2009 I went to SBI barach office for written complaint, the Bank staffs said that
it is a technical problem with ATM machine thats why it showing this kind of errors.
Even the chief manager of the bank has the same answer.
It has been 27days now from the complaint, todya (04-09-2009) the Bank Manager said, it has been
withdrawn by someone, we can not do any thing regarding this matter.
I am the only earning member in my family and I am facing much problem because of this issue.
I am really frustrated and disappointed with such a service of the bank. I want money any how.
I have the statement slip and written complaint as record of the problem. Kindly look into the matter.

reimburesement of money
It is over a month that amount of Rs. 7000/- (5000+2000) debited from my account on 01.07.2009 has still not been credited back in my account so far as against 12 days needed as per RBI Guidelines.
My previous online complaint ticket no.s are CC-1249578305281 & CC-1248926048296, which are in addition to a handwritten complaint handed in person to Mr. Trivedi, Branch Manager, SBI, IIT Gandhinagar on 07.07.2009
The gist of the problem is given as under:
On the 01.07.2009, due to some network problem cash was not dispensed at IOB, Motera, Ahmedabad branch, however, a/c was debited of Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 2000/- in two different transaction. It was brought to notice of teh branch on the next working day, and the branch said the money will be credited back automatically. After my repeated enquiries, my bank asked me to write a complaint which I did but till date they say that they written to their service desk. It sbeen almost a month when RBI guidelines say that such problems need to be shorted out within 12 days. My complaint No.s as provided by SBI are 2816168/2816374 and 2866209 & 266178. I am a govt. employee and such apathy from the bank has made me undergo mental tension. IOB Branch Manager, Mr Patel said that he has verified and it is true that the ATM did not dispense money but he is unable to do anything as he is not authorized to pay back the amount.
It is requested that the needful be done at the earliest.
