I wanted to rent a two bedroom apartment from the management company. They had advertised a price of $1150/month with a 6 month lease. After they saw that I was interested, they asked me to take a second look at the place, however, this time, the rent had misteriously gone up to $1195/month 6 mo lease. Even though there was fishy business, I decided that it was still a good deal and I wanted to take it. Then the lease all of a sudden had to be 13mo. Since I couldn't do 13mo, they said they could a lease for 6 mo at $1225/mo. This being the second time they increase the price on me. The move-in special was 2 weeks free. I should have just left when this happened, however, I decided to give them one more chance. I filled out the application and paid them two money orders ($250 and $25). They ran my credit and my application was approved. AFTER processing my application, they said that because it was a 6 mo lease, I would ONLY get 1 week free instead of 2. Having had enough of their games, I pulled out. Now, I'm out of $25 and I have a useless inquiry on my report.
