I am a hughes net customer and when i spoke to a representative about the service I was assured that it was fast and affordable and great They convinced me that it really was high speed internet so instead of going with comcast like i first thought of doing i decided to go with Hughes net they locked me in to a 2 year contract (which I did not find out until all my paperwork was filled out and my service was installed) and as soon as the internet was hooked up i ended up getting a bad virus that wiped out my internet explorer. The service itself sucks the customer service is even worse when i call them i'm either put on hold for a long period of time or i don't get a response at all. I spoke to a representative yesterday because my internet has been down for 2weeks now I told them my hughes net internet wasn't working at all and he tried to blame it on my computer he really didn't like the fact that i told them i went ahead and got another service provider that actually does work he swore up and down that it wasn't something that was wrong with their service They try to say everything under the sun that could be wrong and act like they know how to fix it so people don't try to get their money back Ever since we've been with them there has been nothing but trouble They do so much false advertisement it's not even funny they say you can get a modem for the low price of 299.98 well that's bullshit and they know it they don't include the $400 for the satellite itself and the $200 dollar installation fee for all that you could just switch to comcast or at&t and get everything installed and paid for for half the price what do i have to say about hughes net? To hell with them and every lying piece of trash that works there
