I bought a 4 bay steel garage from this company in 2006 (three years ago) with upgraded steel framing and truss supports. At the time, I asked if this frame and configuration would support the snow loads we get here in central Virginia and was told yes, anything here in Virginia would be supported by this building. After the snow storm on Dec. 18-19, 2009, I now have a 4 bay garage steel building that is leaning forward about 6 inches off center and the roof panels have caved in and sagged into my garage. It is no longer water tight and all the builder says is call your insurance company.

I paid extra for the upgraded steel supports. Before this building was purchased, I specifically asked if it would support a snow load like this. I was assured it would and was told by Josh that the upgraded steel was guranteed to hold this kind of snow load.

Now the first significant snow we get since it was built and the building fails. When I asked to speak with Mr. Eddie Bailey, the owner of the company, they say he is not here and do not know when he will be there.

I really think Steel Tube Buildings, Inc. of Dillyn/ Crewe Virginia sold me a bill of goods. Where is standing behind your product? What about making false representations just to get a sale? What about upselling the steel structural supports and then saying it is not the builders responsibility to guarantee the structural integrity?
