voided extended warranty
After submitting claim for leather couch cushions, that were cracking, I was informed by steihafels that the warranty company had gone out of business ( 3 months after purchasing couches) and there was nothing that they could do for us. Basically told us we were shit out of luck!!! Will never shop there again !!

Terrible service
Over 12 weeks ago I had ordered a replacement piece of glass for a coffee table i had purchased from your location. The glass broke after a candle fell on it. I thought this was bad enough, what i should have done is just thrown the whole thing out. The experience of special ordering through Steinhafels has been a nightmare. I was first told it would take 4 weeks to receive in house then that was followed by 8 weeks. Finally after 8 weeks i was called that it was here, or was it? I waited a little over a week to pick up (1/22/10) only to have it mysteriously disappear, then i was told it was never delivered and finally i was told it was damaged in shipping. The reorder could possibly take 8 more weeks. Well today 2/4/11 its here. I was told Steinhafels would deliver since i was inconvenienced, unfortunately that would not be for another week 2/11. Are you guys even competent to deliver this. Would you wait another week after waiting over 12. What a joke, you lost my business.

Worst product and service ever
Couch was falling apart in less than 2 months. Contacted customer service as everything directs you to do. No help. THey said there is a 1 month return policy.
Sent out a service guy and they will not repair under warranty ( I dont think it is even repairable as it is ripping in numerous places and cusions are sagging in.
Customer service then emailed-no call or letter-just an email saying sorry-we wont repair-looks like your fault!! How is it my fault??? We didnt rip the darn seams in 3 places-HUGE gaping holes now 3 months later. They claim our warranty is void becuase it looks like poor use!!! THe tears are all inj the back-claimed we must have sat on the BACK of the sofa.
The arm rests feel like hollow cardboard and you cant put weight on them at all. The quality is so poor, you'd think we bought it at value city!
Calls were forwarded to management voice mail and were not answered. Emails were not returned. how can they sell us crap and void the warranty after 2 months??
Funny thing is I filed a Better business bureau complaint and got a reply that they received a satisfactory solution from seller and they closed my complaint case! Now I see why I've hear the BBB has "favorites".

Defective mattres
Bought a King size mattress for $1, 000.00 from Steinhafels in June. I was supposed to be the firmest mattress they have, it is already sagging an inch on both sides of the bed. Called and left messages for three different people and NO ONE has returned my call. Went into the store and they sent out a technician 10 days later. He agreed the mattress shouldn't be sagging like it is. Recieved a letter via email (from a noreply address) the next day that they don't see anything wrong with the mattress and will do NOTHING for me!!! They are hoping I'll go away, well I'm NOT!!!

Poor customer service
Bought a couch a year ago and the warranty for $69.99. Used the cleaning solution on an off white linen couch; (followed the directions on the box)as the solution dried it left a orange ring on the couch. I tested in an area where there was no spot and it did the same thing. Steinhafels did nothing for me and kept telling me I had to call GreenGard ( GreenGard is no longer in business I am told on the phone by a Steinhafels Customer Rep. They give me a differnt number to call). I called GreenGard and the lady asks me if I tested it first and there is nothing they can do since I did not test the product first. They did not ask me my name, my purchase, NOTHING, just told me I should of tested it first and there is nothing they can do. I have $280 in warranties that I purchased drom Steinhafels and the warranty company went out of business. Steinhafels did not contact me to let me know the warranty company went under. I will never shop at Steinhafels again.
