I like to post a complaint about Sterling Acura of Austin, texas. I purchased a 2006TL from Sterling Acura of Austin, Texas in March of 2006.
Recently I notice one of my front tires wearing thin on the inside treads. After showing the tire to a certified technician at Discount Tires I discover the wheel alignment was not correct and all four tires were badly worn. Before I took deliver of my car, I had the dealership (Sterling Acura or Austin) modify my car to the A-Spec kit that was offered by Acura through the dealership.
The A-spec kit included 18 inch rims and a full spoiler package and a modification to the suspension. I took my car to Discount Tires to evaluate the unusual tire wear and was instructed anytime there is work performed on any suspension the tires need re-aligning. The service manager at Sterling Acura of Austin, Texas stated Acura does not require a wheel alignment. The worn area of the tire is 2 inches from the sidewall on one side, the remainer of the tire looks new.
After hearing the service managers comment I fully understand why have the dealership install the kit was a big mistake. A mistake the dealership is trying to hide. By the time I noticed the problem both my front tires were showing the steel belts and the back tires were badly worn. Sterling Acura of Austin refused to honor their work and uphold their warranty agreement state in Acura/Honda handbook.
My only course of action was to contact the Acura headquarters, the BBB and any other customer complaint site available. Please feel free to post this information and hopeful others will not conduct business with Sterling Acura of Austin, Texas
