All they want is my info, they are the same as the other recent scams
I saw a commercial for stoprepairbills.com and inquired. I left my phone number on stoprepairbills.com to get a quote from them. I figured if it was less then 1000 dollars for like 5 years maybe that would cover my transmission going, (cause I have a crappy car) so the lady called me back, she said she was a manager. Then after about 1 minute on the phone with her I realized that this was a scam. She went through the whole speel of having to go talk her to product manager to get me the best deal. Then she told me that I had to make a commitment, or my deal would not be good. She told me that the warrranty was 2700 dollars. I said 'thanks, thats all i needed to know' she said, 'what do you mean?' in a very snotty voice. I explained to her that oney would take care of any auto damage I would have, so i dont need the warranty, she then said 'well, what DO YOU think would be a good cost?' I was floored I could not believe a company was talking to me like this. I then said, 'okay, thanks, have a good night' she did not say anything and then hung up on me. I cant imagine how i would be treated if I actually bought service and tried to file a claim! They called me back from a number (1-800-436-3185) that was different then the number i called them with. When i looked up this number it was for a bunch of other extended car warranty services. and the complaints were exactly the same. All they want is my info, they are the same as the other recent scams. Buyer beware.

warranty refund issues
This company uses dirty tricks to delay sending refunds when the warranty is cancelled, I sent all papers, pictures and info they requested including 2 pictures of my odometer that showed the miles. They recieved everything on April 8, 2010, on April 19, 2010 they claimed I never sent them the odometer info and when I told them I sent pictures of it the lady there took all of 3 seconds to look down and said " oh, I have the pictures right here, I'm sorry. " When I first called them to cancel I was told they proccess the order within 2 days and it could take up to 30 days to get the refund, and now they are saying it takes 30 BUISINESS days. Their refund policies are not clearly defined in the paperwork they send you. Luckily I never had to use their warranty to get my car fixed because I can only wonder what tricks they would use to screw you.

Don't pay them
I was taken advantage of by StopRepairBills.com when I bought an extended warrenty. I made my payments on time and put the product in as stated and kept up on all maintanence needed to do.
But these people when it came down to the time that I needed to use them gave me the run around.
The garage called in for a claim on the repairs but they would say that it wasn't covered. Then I would call and ask why not, they would reply that part of it wasn't. But another part that needed to be covered was.
When I asked why they didn't tell the shop that, they said " Well he didn't ask".
So in the long run they didn't want to honor anything at all. I got so mad I canceled it and lost over $600. already paid in. On top of that they tried screwing me over by taking another payment.
I fought for over 45 days to get that money back. So watch yourselves. It's cheaper to save the money in an emergency account than to pay them.

cancellation
I fell for the commercials and went online to receive a quote. They called me and after initially declining their offer, I gave in and and agreed. They took my credit card info and then asked for my mother's maiden name for a password which is kind of odd considering that credit card companies often use your mother's maiden name for their passwords. After reading all of the complaints online I decided to cancel. The worst customer service experience ever. I called and asked to be transferred to customer service and instead they tried to lower the cost. After declining them a couple of times, they finally transferred me to customer service. The lady, "Emily", must have been told not to take no for an answer. I had to tell her literally 40 times to cancel my policy. She kept trying to change my mind. Every time she said "but sir" I interrupted and said "cancel my policy". I finally told her hat I'll stay quiet and listen to her sales pitch but the end result is going to be her canceling my policy and refunding my money. She just kept going and going until I finally told her "just cancel the DAMN policy". She told me that I shouldn't be angry. I threatened her with reporting their service as fraud and contacting the BBB. She finally told me that the money would be credited within 3-5 business days and continued to try to convince me not to cancel. I asked her "3-5 business days for a refund?". As soon as she said yes I hung up on her. I had already called my credit card company before I called them and explained the situation. They told me to just dispute it if they don't want to credit me back. Please don't fall for this garbage service. I should've done my research before.

treatment of employees
i am a previous employee of stoprepairbills.com and i have to say that it is a scam...i say it is a scam because what company is there that you have to buy the product today and if you dont buy it by the end of the phone call the product wont be available the next day??? a scam...anyway...lets get on the training process they curse at you in training and talk to you like you are not human if it had not been for the child i have i would have never put up with it... you a humiliated in front of the entire company and you are trained to lie and tell the customer anything just to close the sale. i went home each night with a nice checking account balance from my paycheck but guilt in my heart. they sent out memos that curse out the employee when you are not selling well. they forced you to do things such as sit ups and push ups when you are late for work. i personally was fired because i couldnt be at work and had proper documentation to support me being absent. i am receiving unemployment because they had no reason to fire me. on top of that they cheated me out of my last check as they do all employees who get fired. i am still in touch with all the people they fired and we are coming together to file a suit against the company. they have employees that sell drugs at the job and everyone that works there smokes pot or does some sort of drug on the parking lot. anyone who is looking to get a warranty should steer clear from these young, arrogant, get rich quick losers. they are a scam in every word as most of these warranty companies are now days they are taking customers money and not paying legit claims. they tell you that you cant hang up when they customer doesnt want to buy you have to make them hang up the phone on you this is forcing me to harrass someone as well just to keep my job. all the things i did were to keep my job because i needed the money but i shouldnt have been forced to do unlawful and immoral things to make them rich. i plan to take this all the way until they are shut down and i have received proper compensation for my stress and wasted time and defarmation of character.

Harrassing / high sales pressure
UNLESS YOU WANT HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS AND HARRASSMENT, don't fall for this!
After seeing a TV commercial, I went to their website to check it out. There are no details on their website, just a form requesting my contact information. Soon after submitting the form, I was called by one of their sales reps, who tried to get me to agree to pay almost $3000 for a 5-year service contract, without me seeing any paperwork, etc. I said no. He passed me on th his "finance manager" who could make me a "better deal because my car was in good condition" (they took my word for it, no way to verify). I said no again, several times, before I had to tell him "NO - take me off your call list - don't ever call me again." Since then, I have received 3 more calls from other sales reps. Each time I tell them "NO - not interested - I already told you folks this - don't call me again - let me talk to your manager please." The last one hung up on me. Gee. what a shame...
