I made the mistake of letting a tire company fix my air conditioner in my car. The car was in the shop for 4 days. $906! Less than a month later I was bringing it back in. (blowing warm) They said they cleaned the O rings and it held pressure for 10 minutes and chilled down to 35 degrees. It has been an extremely cool spring/summer so I didn't have much chance to test it but 3 weeks later it blowing warm again on a 75 degree day. So naturally it back in the shop again. They don't have the equipment to test it properly because it was on loan out to another facility. However they stated that they thought it was the major part that they just replaced. So I bring it back in to them on a thursday when they expect their equipment to be returned. No, it not back yet. A phone call could have saved me the trip and I still would have been able to use the car instead of relying on my husbands busy schedule for errands. Since it was already there and my husband needed to get to his business I decided to let it stay there. They must have finally got their equipment back on tuesday and I was told it should be ready by the end of the day. Right. We were told the the problem was a piece of lint. They had to remove the dashboard to determine this. I should get it back on wednesday with any luck. No further charge. I would love to hear others more experienced opinions on this!
