Scam and cheating
I wanted to reward a friend with tickets to a Yankee game - one of the final games of the year. I decided to purchase tickets from StubHub. I realizing the tickets had been marked-up; nevertheless, this was a special event.
Not including the tickets, I spent $4k to in hotel, air and more just to travel to and from NYC.
The "expensive" tickets: over $2k.
The original owner of the tickets: A Yankee season ticket holder. Ask me for his name.
When I attempted to use the tickets, the Yankees refused me at the gate. The tickets are invalid.
I telephoned StubHub. The phone rang and rang. I telephoned back and was placed on hold for - well, I gave up. How is a fan going to resolve a serious problem at the gate, when StubHub places us on hold forever?
I complained to StubHub. I was sent the Invalid Ticket Claim Form" and was tolded by Deju, "this type of situation is rare..."

A StubHub representative, Sue at 415-222-3961, telephoned me prior to receiving the form. She encouraged me to complete the form and return it ASAP; she too stated this type of situation (selling tickets to fans that are fake or invalid) is rare. She said that she would be back in touch with me; that if I wanted to phone her I could...but that her voice mail (at customer service) doesn't work.

False tickets
I bought 2 very high priced tickets to see Coldplay at Verizon for 8/3 ($1900). These tickets were confirmed 3 months prior to the show. They were reconfirmed 3 days before the show. Then 2 days before the show, I was informed that the tickets weren't available. Either they were sold to someone else or the seller wasn't legitimate. Stubhub had no inventory to sell me comparable tickets so I was out of luck. I had paid airfare, rental car and hotel fees to see this concert, so a rebate isn't really helpful, really need the seats! Some graduation present for my daughter!!! The lack of professionalism by STUBHUB is not to be believed. I sense serious fraud here...

Scam
Ordered tickets that said aisle.
Were not aisle and stub hub said they could not do anything about it. They said that it is the seller who lied but stub hub would not give me name to sue in small claims. It is a fraud what they are doing and take no responsibility for it.
Stub hub is knowingly selling tickets with false information In fact since the SF Giants gave their business to Stub Hub I will never attend a Giants game again. The Giants are to blame just as much, Can anyone say ignorance I mean steroids
Buyer Beware do not buy from stub hub.

StubHub rip off
Found tickets on StubHub, seller noted difference in seating at venue from what was shown on ticket. Used StubHub website to verify seating chart. At concert found out that tickets were wrong and seating chart was wrong. Appealed to StubHub for partial refund because the listing on their website was inaccurate - they refused to honour their mistakes and even said that there was no record of my complaint which I made the business day after the concert. StubHub does not truly protect its buyers so beware.
