Bad company
I bought a mobile phone from Subhiksha mobile outlet a week ago. I came home, opened the box, and charged the phone. That evening while I was playing with different phone features the phone automatically booted itself. I went back to the Subhiksha and they refused to exchange the phone. I regret my purchase, and the phone continues to reboot itself from time to time.

Poor service n vulgar language!
I had to give an order (telephonic) thrice to subhikska, vastrapur, ahmedabad (india). Everytime, i had to give the order item-wise, qnty- wise, give the address ( though i hv membership n give the cust-code). On reminding them 4th time, manager/supervisor started scolding an employee (in gujrati); i objected his axn saying that, you are using my money (tel. cost) and asked him to do this when i hang-up my phone. Upon this, the person said "you haven't bought me n u can't order like this to me". I had to cancel my order on such indecent response.

Fraud and cheating!
A few groceries were purchased by me on 25th July from a Subhiksha store on IGNOU Road,New Delhi.This included a pack of Promise anti cavity tooth paste also.Marked price on the pack is Rs.50/- but they charged Rs.53/-Also they wrote a product name which was not purchased by me and which was not on the shelves even. (Dabur promise gel).

I have not used the product till now and am wondering how to get redressal. The bill number is 3457 and the time is 6.22.

Poor service!
We called SUBHIKSHA home delivery # 60607777 on 24thjuly'07 at 6pm. After much explaining the operator transfered my call to their RK Puram,New Delhi, pharmacy div(where again the man who picked spoke very rudely & agreed to "carry" the phone to grocery deptt). Person name Aditya talked very ambitiously & curtly but finally took the order.

We finally rcvd the order (bill # INV701/SP1)after 1 and a half hours but out of 12 items ordered we rcvd only 6 and that too wrong ie we ordered 2kgs of aarhar dal but rcvd 1kg of urad dal and no Arhar dal. Balance order was not sent at all.

When we told the delivery boy to bring the balance items. He said - you should be crazy to expect me to come again.

I thought Mr Subramiam (Chairman Subhiksha) may like to deal with all such issues before attempting more expansion.

Cheap marketing tactics
On 12th June 2007, I had purchased food items and other consumer goods worth Rs.1508.29 from the Subhiksha outlet situated at Ramanthapur, Hyderabad. M/s.Subhiksha had come out with an offer of 3 KGs of Charminar Brand Basmathi Rice for all purchases of Rs.1500 or above. The store Manager pleaded time of 2 to 3 days to deliver the free offer item as Subhiksha was reportedly running out of the stock. Despite umpteen number of visits to this outlet and phone calls to the Store Manager, the free offer remains undelivered. I request the authorities of MRTP commission through your esteemed site to initiate suitable action against SUBHIKSHA to curb this unfair trade practice and to see that justice is delivered to thousands of customers like me who have fallen prey to such cheap marketing tactics of Subhiksha.

Out of stock!
Most of the items in Subhiksha store at Dwarka, Sector 5, are out of Stock. There is medicine shop also at the same sore. Again the same story. Medicines u need will never be there. I do not what is the purpose of opening such store, It is a total waste of time i am going there.

Poor customer service
I have been getting my monthly grocery, etc. from Subhiksha, Powai, where the staff members were very cooperative in taking down the orders and delivering the items ordered by me within no time. However, I recently shifted my residence to Bhandup,but the store near to my residence does not any kind of customer service. Their telephone remains always engaged and when I visited their shop and gave a list of my requirements to be delivered at my home, they informed me that they can deliver the items only after 3-4 days. Even after 3-4 days when the delivery did not take place, I inquired the status and to my utter disappointment they informed me that the list which I gave them has been lost. The staff in this store does not care for their customers and I wonder the Subhiksha management can any one of them accountable for such lapses.

Poor after sales service!
I bought a mobile, SEM W 810i for my wife from the Subhiksha mobile outlet at Malad(W) on Wednesday, 4th July 2007. I got a good deal on the price of the phone as i had checked at some other places as well. We had already decided on the model, so I did not even look at the other models. Little did I know I would regret this decision.

After we opened the box at home, admired the gadget and put the phone to charge. I transferred a song to the new phone so that my wife could check out the sound effects as that was what she was primarily interested in.
Midway during the song, the phone automatically booted itself. It wasn't a very good feeling but since we both work for the telecom service sector, we decided to keep it on charge sometime longer just to rule out insufficient charge problems. The problem recurred thrice even after that. So my wife took it to the Subhiksha outlet.

More than the resolution or the lack of it, we were taken aback at the kind of treatment and the total lack of apathy displayed by the salesman Mohan and his supervisor Sanjay.

False promises of holiday voucher!
I had purchased a Motorola mobile phone from Subhiksha Mobile Shop-Wakola, Mumbai. During that period, a scheme of holiday voucher on purchase of any Mobile was prevalent. On demanding it after making payment for the mobile phone, I was told that the voucher is out of stock and I would be given the same after a day or two.

Inspite of repeated phone calls and visits , I have not been given the voucher as yet. Speaking to the head of Subhiksha Store, Wakola branch from where I had purchased the mobile also yielded no results.

The store people have stopped taking my calls or give vague replies if answered. The salesman's name is Mr Sandeep and the head is Mr Vinayak.

Rude and insulting sales persons
I visited subhiksha retail store in Shalimar garden Extn 2 (Ocean Plaza) on 2nd June 2007 and bought household items worth Rs.999 vide bill number INV/3308/cash1. At the time there was a scheme of 2 pkts (1kg) of Picric basmati Rice with a purchase of 850 ans above. At that time the sales person told me that the rice was out of stock and we could collect the same the next day. Ever since i have been visiting the store, spending around 30 minutes everyday till date. Each time i was curly informed that the particular brand of rice was out of stock.

Today again this story was repeated and the sales persons were rude and insulting. It seemed to me that i was bothering them with a favor and that the subhikshas scheme was not my right. I will not be visiting the store anymore. It was a very humiliating experience for me. If a prominent store like subhiksha advertises certain discounts and benefits openly it should hold true or not dupe their unsuspecting customers.

I will be taking this up in action line of HT as i feel it is my responsibility as a concerned customer to highlight this duplicity in deals.
