Idearc Media is a rip off. We received a call from one of Idearc Media marketing agents who told us that if we are interested to provide Engineering and Surveying services. She told us that there will be only a referral fee once we got the contract. She also mentioned that there will be no fee or charges if the contract is not finalized between SDE Inc and the prospect clients who are referred to us by Idearc Media. The agent stated clearly that there are 175 people who need our services. After the confirmation by a third party I got an email I found out that this was a scam and Idearc Media agent laid and Idearc Media is a rip off. I immediately responded to the email and made it crystal clear that there will not be any fees unless there is a contract and Idearc Media will be entitle to a referral fee. I got no response and after a month got an invoice in the mail for $400. I responded by writing a letter and also attached my email which I sent and a brief explanation and sent it as a certified mail. I got the green slip of the certified mail and hoped that somebody will read my letter and will investigate and will take proper action against the misrepresentation of the marketing person accordingly. Unfortunately I got the second invoice with additional charges. I called the company and after a lengthy period somebody talked to me and asked me about the problem. I went over what had been transpired since the first call by Idearc Media. The person who called herself Angy and told me that there is nothing that she could do and when I said I will take legal action and she responded by go ahead and do whatever you want to do. I asked her about a manager name and she gave me the name of Jean Hopkin. I called back and left a massage but never heard back until I received the third mail with another invoice and third payment.
I sent all the documents and the copy of the green certified slip to their office. I have spent many hours to deal with this dilemma which caused by an irresponsible company and an irresponsible person with outrageous misrepresentation. Idearc Media is a rip off
Please be careful and never respond to such calls. I will pursue this issue until the company acknowledge their misbehavior and stop their agent for misrepresentation and outrageous lies.
