They steal from the sandwiches
When you call the Subway corporate number ( 800.888.4848 ) they will tell you there should be 10 Slice of Salami and 10 Slice of Pepperoni in a footlong Spicy Italian sandwich. This is what we pay for. Right? No, you will be cheated when you actually buy a sandwich. When you go to a subway store they put 7 Slice of Pepperoni and 7 Slice of Salami. At some store if you're lucky you get 8 Slice of each. I'm talking about the Subways in the Triangle area in NC. But I won;t be surprised if they steal in other areas too. Because I got the feeling that Subway as the corporate do not care and appreciate about your compliant on this...!! Try and see for yourself.

I filed several complaints at Subway.com about several subway stores in Raleigh and Cary area regarding their BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. Instead of appreciating my report and complains about these stores, she (Annie) told me if she were me I would tell the person who makes the sandwiches put more pepperoni and salami... What the hell is that? Do you see where the scam is coming from???

As customers, are we supposed to teach them how to make the sandwiches?? I was expecting to get a better and satisfying response. It's obvious that Subway as the whole corporate do not care much about this scam. If so I have a serious suspicion about what else they do.

There's Neil, he presented himself as a "consultant" in the triangle area (Raleigh, Durham-Chapel Hill, Cary, NC etc). He said someone will be contacting me about this. Noone has never contacted me. A month later I sent him another email. No responses. He had given me a telephone number in the email that he sent me... Guess what his telephone number was fake. Automatic answering system says they can not connect me to that number...

I wanted to talk to a supervisor at Subway. I didn't get her name but she wasn't appreciating my complaint at all. She talked like a robot. She said she will let the owners know about the situation. I told her, we did a month ago too, they still STEAL... She said this is all she can do.. Really? There's no one at Subway that can stop those people STEALING...?? Apparently the answer is NO.

From now on I boycott all the subway stores. I also suggest everyone who are sensitive about the corruption and scam that many corporate involved, do the same. Just boycott all of them that they are not honest. If they do not respect you, do not respect them either... Why do we have to let them use and abuse us???

Also don't you see they do false advertising all the time? They show you a picture full of stuff in it when you buy the same sandwich they give you the half of what they show.. Do you really call this advertisement?

I've had shopped from these stores below and they all stole from the sandwiches. When I told them they are not supposed to put 7 or 8 slices, they told me this is how they make the sandwiches. I told them I called the corporate offices, they told me their boss told them to do so...!!!

Wouldn't sell cold pastrami sandwich
My husband always orders a pastrami sandwich at Subway, and they always look at him funny when he says he doesn't want it heated, as if it is the most unusual thing that they have heard. Today he went to a 'new' Subway, and the pretty much REFUSED to sell it to him without heating it up.

I would think it was out of ignorance, but come on: you can buy it in a store as cold cuts (operative word being COLD cuts) but these dumbasses didn't even think they could see it without heating it up. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem?

Verbal Abuse from owner/mgr
While at mall shopping my family and I decided to have lunch in the new food court. My partner and I decided we wanted Chinese my son requested a sandwich from Subway. So, my partner goes to the Chinese restaurant to get our order I went with my son to purchase his sandwich. My son ordered the June Special sandwich the "Chipotle Chicken and Cheese" for $5 @ footlong. At the register was a man named Hameel (?) who was ringing us up, and I said could we make it a combo w/chips and a med drink... he said sure that will be $9.39. While digging through my wallet for the money I said "that's ridiculous". Hameel said, in what I thought to be joking fashion, "don't say that word in my restaurant". Keep in mind we are in a food court, so I, again a a joking fashion, stepped back two steps and said "that is ridiculous". At this point I realized he wasn't joking, I said you know what let's forget the combo and I will just get the sandwich. I handed Hameel $6, which he took and then told me to leave his store. I said I will leave after I get my change, he then threw the change at me and told me to leave. Leaving the store, my son went a got a table, I joined my partner, who was still in line at the Chinese restaurant, and told her what had just happened. We joined my son at the table and my partner said you know that is not right for that guy to have spoken to you that way, I am going over to get the owner's/mgr's name to make a report. She goes over and is speaking with Hameel, when she asked who the owner was, he said "Fuck you, you aren't a customer here". My partner then said excuse me but did you just say "F you to me?" Hameel, said again, Fuck you and get out of my store. We went to the mall manager's office and both of us filed a complaint, but was told by the receptionist that they would just be put into Subway's file and maybe reviewed when time for lease renewal. After leaving the mall my partner called Subway's coporate office and spoke with a customer service representative. After going through our whole story the representative stated that Hameel was the owner and that there was absolutely NOTHING they could do about his treatment of us. When asked if this was Subway's standards, she said that Subway "suggests" standards on how stores should be run, but that it is entirely up to the owner of the Francise to follow or not... I was and still am totally blown away. It is funny that I hadn't eaten at Subway for almost a year prior to this, just because there has been a small business open in our neighborhood that sells the BEST sandwiches in all of Clarksville, TN called Freedom Deli that we take our business to now, but now this has happened and I gaurantee I will never eat at one again simply because of the lackluster care given to this from Subway. I wanted to share this not because I am looking for coupons or refunds or stuff like that, I just wanted a sincere apology and ownership of what they had done, not just to my family but to the other people in the food court, many with small childern, that had to hear the trash mouth of Hameel... and Subway says... "oh well!"

Poor Service
Every time I go into this store the same two woman are there offering up there POOR service. One woman usually walks around and sweeps the floor around angrily and the other slaps the sandwich together. I spoke with the businesses around this store and they all stated how rude they were. This could possible be daughters of the owner because there is no way these two would get a job anywhere else. I actually drive 2 miles south to the other subway just to avoid the bad service. STAY AWAY!!!

Didn't get it right this time
I like Subway and the Subway that I usually go to is always good. This past Friday, I went in and ordered a Subway Club with avocado.I said I wanted lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and that was it.I looked down for a second(don't know why) and saw that the employee put onions on my sandwich so I kindly asked if he could take them off.I'm sure he just thought I had said onions because it was really busy and loud in there.Anyway, he said "You don't want onions?"I replied "No thank you."He then asked me "Well then why the hell did you ask me to put them on here?"I kindly told him that I didn't ask him for onions, he must have misunderstood me.He gave me a dirty look and passed my sandwich onto the manager who I see all the time when I'm in there. He rang it up and I handed him my debit card and the machine must have been broken because he had to slide my card eight times.I looked at my receipt and I was charged three times as much so I approached the manager about this.He told me he couldn't do anything about it and that the machine is broken.I told him this is unacceptable, I'm not paying $24 for a sandwich that is $8.00.I said I understand that it's messed up and that the store is busy but you're charging me three times as much.He didn't say anything and walked to the back of the store and I didn't know what else to do so I left.

I went in today to get my boyfriend a sandwich and the service was very good. When I was paying, I told the manager working about what had happened and she apologized for the rude employee and showed her the receipt that said "3 subclub" or something like that and gave me my money back on the sandwich I was charged too much for last time.

It makes me mad that some people can get hired for any job and yet they are an asshole at work and everyone see's it, yet it took me forever to find the job I have now and don't treat customer's like they are scum.

Rude Manager
I went into store#31616 on 6/9 at about 11am and ordered a $5 foot long meal so my total cost for lunch was $7.50. For some reason my debit card was declined so the very nice gentleman offered to run it again and still nothing. So I gave him a different card and everything was fine. I went home and saw that I was charged twice on my debit card, one that went through and one that was still pending. I checking my bank account before going back into the store and I was only charged once on my debit card and once on my credit card. So I was going into the store with the hopes of making things easy and just getting another sandwich being that to me I had already paid for one.

I went into the store and talked to the gentleman that rung me up and he did remember the issue with my card. He advised me he needed to get his manager involved so he could help me. This is where my issue begins. Not once did he apologized for my inconvenience of what happened, but instead told me I would need to have bank statements in order to get my money back. I told him I am ok with just getting a meal like I did before vs. a refund. He went on to say that he does not see anything in his system of someone being charged $7.50 outside of my credit card. I even showed him my two different account statements that I could pull up online and that was still not good enough. He said he cannot help that I was charged twice by the credit card company; that if he gave me a free sandwich he would be out money now. He then said that he cannot just give free sandwiches out to everyone; that a woman was just scamming to get free food going around showing different store respites. I told him that even though I am showing him my two different bank account, I came back to the same subway, with my respite from the same store, and the gentleman that helped me remembers me is not enough to prove that I am not making this up. I would have been fine if there was a process to go through but because he told me that he would be out of money and he would be the one losing in this situation I was just appalled. I told him while he may be out of money if it really was the credit card companies fault, that he should never tell the customer (I am currently the one out in this situation) that they were going to be out $7.50. I started to cry because I was getting so upset with his lack of empathy for this situation and all he cared about was making his money.

As people started to walk into the store he could tell I was getting a little less than happy with this situation and did not want his new customers coming into the store hearing my complaint. He then told me he would go ahead and make me what I wanted, BUT he had to talk my credit card information to call them and make sure he got paid for it so he was not out of a sandwich. I told him why would I do that when they could possibly charge me and I would be yet again the one out. He comment was, that if he did not he would be short. I told him that was enough and the only reason he was willing to half help me was because there were people now in the store. I said a few choice words and walked out. I do apologies for my unprofessionalism.

I used to manage a deli and I would have never in my wildest dreams talk like that to a customer. For someone to get so upset about losing out of $7.50 which is not the cost he would really be out of for the total cost of everything in the first place. To also be put in the category as someone who scams subway restaurants when I had everything possible to show him how I was overcharged is just mind blowing. While I cannot discredit a whole company for one managers poor management style; I can assure you I will never be going back to that particular location. I do have many coworkers that visit the establishment and when I told them about this situation they were baffled.

I sure hope you guys realize who you have representing your company name as far as a manager goes.

rotten service, overpriced, limited selection/ overrated
I went to the Subway in the mall in Scottsbluff, the cashier rolled her eyes at me because they were getting ready to close even though it was barely after 7:00 PM. I ordered a pulled pork sandwhich and asked for a footlong and I received a six incher, I also asked for chips and drink and I just got a bottle of water thrown at me and was told the pop machine was down. I asked for chips and they said they were out. when she rang it up I got charged for a foot long, a drink, and chips, and it ended up being over $10. I said that I didn't get what I ordered and the cashier tried to argue so I just gave her the damn money and left.
This isn't the only rotten subway either, every one I've been to has skimpy food, the employees rarely follow food safety protocol, it is grossly overpriced, and never anything good to eat. I quit going quite a while ago.

lack of value for price
East 2nd street location- Paid eight dollars for a roastbeef footlong. the meat only was about 1/8 of in (less than 2 ounces for a footlong). I asked the toothless girl who made the sandwich if my sandwich looked anywhere close to the photo on the menu. She said "no, but it has eight slices" (of 2 inch round). I said, but why does the picture look like I am going to get a sandwich with a lot of meat? the manager standing next to her at checkout said, "HEY LADY, IT HAS EIGHT SLICES! NOW PAY FOR THE SANDWICH!" I was so embarrassed that I didnt even have time to have anything other than lettuce put on it. I wanted to walk out, but that lady might have tackled me before I got out the door so I paid for the sandwich and left. I have decided that Subway has no concept of quality of customer service or understanding of value to the consumer. I will never go to subway again and every person that will ever associate with me will hear of my experience. Hopefully, someday, subway will have to close it doors.

GROSS and DISGUSTING mold
I filled my cup with ice and an ice cube with a clop of mold fell into my cup. I informed the clerk and she said I could get a drink from the fridge. She failed to shut down the machine and failed to inform the 5 families I watched get drinks from the machine of the mold.

Consistent over charging
I just changed offices for a few weeks and which is very close to a subway. On every visit i purchase 2 foot long subs and 2 bottles of water. I order 1chicken salad and 1 Tuna every time. I visited the store around 8-10 times with in a 2 week period that i was in my Selden office. I was always charged over $18 and always different prices even though same exact products ordered, and today i found out why. I watched my order being charged and the woman clicked EXTRA MEAT, when i confronted her, asking what extra meat did I order, she denied that she had clicked it and explained that is the regular prices and said she could not provide a receipt as she was out of paper. I then asked her to explain to me off the menu how it was so much and she couldn’t. The bottles of water are $1.75ea x2 is 3.50, orchard chicken salad is a $5 foot long and so is tuna even though she claims tuna is not and is $6.79. This leaves over $2 unexplained. So i left without the food,
I have also noticed a obvious portion difference regarding this restaurant, the amount of "meat" served is not nearly as much as other subway restaurants, as they offer 2 small scoops of tuna per sub and 1 large scoop of chicken salad per sub where as my local sub way and others i visited offer 4 small scoops of tuna per sub an 2 large scoops of chicken salad per sub.
This is clearly an effort of the restaurant to gain larger profits overcharging and offering less “meat”.
Honestly could care less about $2 but it’s just pure principle
