Who to complain to
It is disheartening to read all of your complaints as I manage a Subway and have done so for 8 years. I would like to remind you that most Manager's will not give your complaint to the owner and most owner's do not physically work at the Subway's they own. The best way to have your voice heard is to go to the Subway web site and put your complaint in writing. ALL complaints are sent to the owner and the developement agent for their area. They must respond with in a 48 hour time frame. They can be held out of compliance if they do not answer and if they get enough out of compliance's can be put out of business. There is absolutely no excuse for bad customer service!!! My only other thought would be to stop visiting these places where you are treated poorly. The owner's may not get the message but they will get put out of business.

Rudeness
I'm a teenager and I had a very rude Subway service.
It was on a Wednesday, and I was staying after school like I always did and was picked up by my sister in late afternoon. We were in the car and I asked her what my mom had planned for dinner, she said my mom didn't have anything planned yet. I suggested we get subs. We picked up my mom at her work and drove to the Subway right down the street. My mom and sister wanted subs from somewhere else so my sister gave me money and let me go in. As I walked in, there was a man who was helping another man with his sub and was giving me a dirty look. I walked up to the counter and waited for him to serve me. When he finished with the gentleman he was serving, he came over and just stared at me. He didn't even ask me what I wanted, which I found quite rude. After hesitating slightly, I said "I'd like a foot long Italian Herbs and cheese." He turns around and gets the bread and cuts it like he's supposed to. I told him "Can you make that chicken terryaki please?" He stayed silent and put on the chicken, then asked "Would you like it toasted." "Yes, please" "What kind of cheese?" "American" again silence. He slaps the cheese on rather agressively and then puts the sub on the tray and puts it into the oven. He stayed by the oven with his hand on the handle and looked near the front of the store, and gave me a dirty look while it was cooking. I pretended not to notice by just casually looking at the menu above. He came over and set the sub down and stared at me again without asking what I wanted. I said "A little bit of lettuce, and a little bit of onion" He added them. "And that's it." "No sauce?" "No thank you" and he packed up the sub. I scooted down as another employee, a female, ringed up my order and I payed for it. As I handed her the money, he seemed to toss/drop the sub on the counter and turned and walked away like I didn't even exist. I was very dissatisfied with Subway's service. I honestly believe that Subway needs to hire more respectful employee's.

SLAPPED IN THE FACE
So I am a 42 year old single mom who is trying to stay healthy. This means the right diet, exercise, and supplements. I have a pretty bad gas problem that has haunted me for some time. Typically, I just let it out and on a scale of one to ten, it's a fifteen. Not only do you hear it but you have to run away fast or you smell an odor that will haunt you for years. So I brought Dicky (my son) into a subway and I had ordered his sandwhich and I got my own typical lunch (two 12 inch turkey breast sandwhiches, double turkey, triple butter, tripple mayo, and two handfulls of cheeze and bacon). My son was still looking in the window next to the register and I decided to take a bite of one of my 12 inchers. As the sandwhich went to my mouth, I let out gas. Immediately all in the store began leaving, my son began crying, and the girl behind the counter slapped me so hard my sandwhich fell to the ground. Any ideas on how to handle this problem? Thanks guys!

Rude Behaviour of Employee
Having visited this place on several other occasions, each time to be told "we are out of what you want", I decided to stop once again to give the Angus beef a try.
To start the whole thing right, there were three girls there, one must have been chained to the cash register, another one must have been locked up in the back room and the third one was too busy writing out some text on a strip of tape about 10 feet long. Not one of them could speak I guess either because none of them even acknowledged I was standing there. Finally yhe one writing the tape turned around (she had finished the tape) and without sanitary gloves said flatly "what do YOU want". I said an Angus beef and guess what .. "we don't have any" was the reply. I then commented that this has happened several other times and this person exploded on me. she started yelling and said SAY THAT AGAIN, EXPLAIN THAT .. AND I SUPPOSE YOU THINK YO CAN BE MAD AT ME FOR THIS!!. Well I had not meant it that way but I guess you should not say anthing except the type of meat and bread to these girls because they obviously have a hard time speaking in words other than those related to Subway-speak. Next I tried to order a meatball sandwich and she said, "We don't have that either" and then added .. "in fact we are out of everything as far as your concerned, I refuse to serve you". Upon which she then retreated to the back room, probably to join her co worker in the cage.
Anyway, I went and had a McDonalds and somehow survived a noght of no Subway.

working conditions
i got a call one day from a woman asking me to come into this subway for an interview. i was excited just to be offered a job. I went in dressed for my interview. When I got there, the General Manager told trainer "E" to interview me. For five-ten minutes, the GM told "E" how to interview me..right in front of me! When the GM left, "E" took my information and resume and said come in on Monday for training. I thought it was the weirdest "interview" ever. I came in Monday ready to learn all about being a sandwich artist. The first two hours were spent memorizing the sandwich formula chart. i was left to sit in a corner and "study" (the average person would have it down in 20 minutes) After a "quiz" on my knowledge of sandwiches, i made a couple sandwiches. I thought every thing was fine for someone who just started their first day.
the second day i came in is when i decided to quit. I came in with 5 other employees during lunch hour. co-workers would "steal" sandwiches while i was trying to make them for customers. Eventually, "E" told me to stand in the corner and observe. It began to get really busy so I jumped in and started to help. After about an hour of traffic i started to observe again. In front of a customer "E" said "don't just sit around, you are supposed to help people out" this was contradictory to what he said earlier. Later, I was having issues wrapping a sandwich. "E" was sitting in the eating area of the restaurant and yelled "Your doing it wrong" in front of the entire restaurant. I felt humiliated. Later, I was making a crab sandwich for a customer and "E" watched over the customer who was watching me. It made the customer AND me weirded out. At the end of the day, i told "E" i was quitting and explained that i did not like his timing in criticizing me. He then told me he didn't like that i stood around (which is what he told me to do.."observe") and then said that "S", and other employee, jumped in when she first started and did not understand my hesitation. After a "no hard feelings" talk, the GM walked in. "E" told him that i wasn't going to work. the GM did not even acknowledge me. SO i left subway and never looked back. i really dodged a bullet. IT WAS THE WORST WORK EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD.

RUDE and BAD SERVUCE
Went to Subway for 3 footlong sandwiches two turkey and one tuna. while the girl was making the sandwiches i noticed that there was very very little meat and cheese i asked for avocado on one and she said it was going to be $1.20 i asked how much avocado do you use, and she said only half of the avocado, keep in mind this is a 12 inch. sand. then piles on the lettuce, i started to say nevermind but was embarrased until the Rude JODI spoke up and poked her nose in to state that they do not make the rules they just make the food, i stated i wanted to taste food not just bread and lettuce and when i asked for the number to corp. she gave me her back and said " it on the napkin" i asked what napkin and she stated the on i am putting in the bag, she made sure to spell her name for me. when i got home the food was thrown in the bag and had came unrapped... They seem to forget I am a customer purchasing food from their co.

WE WERE KICKED OUT
My 4 year old son has autism. He tends to react on some outings depending on waiting time, environment, the amount of people and many more reasons. Kids being kids and maybe mine a little loud, they were not shy of having fun and keeping busy while we lined up and waited our turn.
The guy behind the counter called us over to where we could see him and shouted out ' take the kids out of here I can't work with all that noise'. I was shocked and almost speechless. But I replied, 'my son is autistic and this is how they act'. I than looked around at the full store with their eyes glued to me, approached my friend dinning with us and discussed going to another food outlet.
We walked out of the store in shock where my son, because of change, reacted 10 times as bad due to the sudden change making things a lot harder to deal with.
I was discriminated against. My son isn't a normal child and I have to live with that everyday of my life. I don't need rude inconsiderate people like that SUBWAY guy tonight rubbing it in.
I will endeavor to forward a formal complaint to the store manager who I have already spoken to.
I am not happy and people should not jump to conclusions to think a child is 'just naughty'. There could be an underlaying medical issue.

MANAGEMENT
I ENJOY EATING AT SUBWAY IN WASHINGTON, THE EMPLOYEES GREET YOU WITH A SMILE AND TAKE YOUR ORDER THE EXACT WAY YOU WANT IT. IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION, THAT THE MNAGER OF THIS STORE DOESN'T WANT HER EMPLOYEES TO SPEAK TO ANY OF THEIR FAMILY MEMEBERS OR FRIENDS WHEN THEY COME IN TO ORDER, WELL I FIND THIS TO BE DOWN-RIGHT STUPID. SUBWAY SHOULD BE A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN GO AND GET A GREAT MEAL AND HAVE A GREAT CONVERSATION. I THINK I'LL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE AND TAKE A FEW OF MY FRIENDS WITH ME. WE DON'T HAVE TO EAT AT SUBWAY, THERE'S A MCDONALD'S, PIZZA HUT, ZAXBY'S, WINGS AND THINGS, CHINA 1, THERE IS NO NEED TO EAT AT A RESTAURANT IF MANAGEMENT IS GOING TO TREAT YOU WITH LITTLE TO NO RESPECT.

harassment
I feel that the manager in that Subway is treating the employees very rudely and disrespectful. The employee who is being harassed is named Martin Henson who works there and is a very good employee. I will not patronize your place of business until something is change. The manager there need to be change to another manager who can run things smoothly and respect others feelings. Alot of dedicated customers who was a regular there felt the same way too.
