Subway Reviews

Manager bullying his employee
The Manager at 1026 west Rand road Arlington Heights Subway is very rude to his employees that customer like myself refuses to eat there .An employee there that I have known so long name Martin is very good in customer service. He makes you laugh and makes you feel at home. He is the reasons why people keep coming back because of his positive welcome attitude. Unless the manager there ease up with his negative attitude towards his employees I will not be visiting that place. I give a strong recommendation to Martin Henson for a good job well done for customer service.

no more olives....too expensive
At 12:35 pm, January 7, 2011, i visited the Dorcy Drive location on Grand Cayman and ordered a turkey foot long and as i was asking for each vegetable to be added, i asked for more olives (than the 12 pieces originally put on the sandwich) and the Filipino girl said no more olives, they are too expensive, so then I asked if i was eligible to have any lettuce?
Then upon paying for my sub, th Jamacian girl did not give me two stamps until I asked for them as she walked away from the cash register.
Last year, I walked into the West Bay, Grand Cayman Subway to see a table with 4 subway staff sitting there licking and sticking dozens of Subway stamps onto several cards likely from unsuspecting customers that they cheated out of their stamps earlier that day.
As a resident of Grand Cayman since 2006, I will go elsewhere for lunch now and tell everyone I work with about this rediculous experience.
What useless management.

Poor treatment of employees
Many people on this board complain about the customer service from the workers, but let me enlighten you about the way the employees are treated.
The youngsters have to put up with turning up for there shifts only to be told that they are now not needed for that particular shift.
They have split shifts such as 11-1 then 5-7. Difficult if they are non drivers.
They are schedule two and half hour shifts and then told if five sandwiches have not been made in one hour then one of the employees will need to leave.
They get called in on there day off, (not asked if they can work, but told that they have to).
Can be given thirty to forty hours one week and then the following cut down to three. (Fair.. I dont think so).
Get write ups for clocking in a few minutes early to help out with the line that is forming in the store.
The list goes on... So when you visit one of these stores, remember those poor students that are trying to make a little money to help them on there way are getting a very raw deal.

Hair In Food
I bought a veggie six-inch subway and when I opened it up there was a medium length grey hair in the food.

Rude service/over pricing
I don't know if anything will be done, but I really would like to get this out. First off, I have had problems with this Subway before, but I would make some excuse for the employees and let it slide, today, however, was the last straw. My brother and I had stopped in to get a sandwich for myself and one for my boyfriend. My boyfriend asked me to get him a footlong club, and I ordered a 6" ham and turkey. The total was almost $19!! The cashier gave me the total and I said "Oh, doesn't that seem high?" And he replied, "No, the club alone is $9.95 for the meal." I said "Holy cow! That is way more expensive than anywhere else I've been, even here a few weeks ago." He then said no that they were the cheapest subway in the country? Right, I'm sure they are. I said something along the lines of "I'm not sure about that, your sign says $6.95 for the footlong club..." He cuts me off saying "yea you idiot, then the extra for your meal, don't be so cheap." Mind you, this was after I already paid the bill. No where on thier boards does it say it will be $3 to make it a meal. Whatever I let it slide and went to fill my drinks. One of the other employess had asked the cashier "What was that about?" Then the cashier says "Oh she's just stupid." I turned and looked at him and then he says "Yea the poor b**** right there!" I'm not poor, but even if I was whose business is it other than mine? I said to him "You know what? You are very rude and I'd like to speak to your manager." He then laughed and said "My dad is the owner, complain all you want." I simply stated to my brother that we would not be going there again, Crystal Lake is run way better and is cheaper. As I'm walking out the door he shouts something else at me and says "Yea that's right." I did not understand the treatment I recieved what so ever. Also my food was not that great, in fact I now have food poisoning from turkey that was not kept properly. I tried to submit a complaint on thier website but they want all my information to contact me, I really don't want anymore harrassment from that store. Also when I tried to call and make a complaint I got bounced around from person to person to person for 40 minutes before I hung up. Any other thoughts?

Bad Food and Service
The restaurant is mostly employed by Punjabi people. I ordered my sandwich as foot-long, but the guy misunderstood and wanted to serve the 6" inch. When I tried to explain to him, he reacted very annoyed as it was my fault.
The sandwich was tasteless, but the most painful part was the stomach. Something was wrong with the meat and the vegetables, because I didn't have the minimum idea how long they kept it for.
If you have the chance to go there, make sure you have the proper health insurance, because these people don't understand what means health.

refusal to take order before closing, rude person
this subway sucks, or some of the employees do sometimes. I called in around like 10:50 to try to place an order for a sub...I had been trying for like 15 mins and no one picked up. Finally someone picked up and i asked what time they closed. He said 11...then I asked if i can order a pick up order...the idiot on the other end of the line was just so rude...he said "wellllll I was ABOUT to close"...im thinking...ok if you were about to close, why did u say u close at 11 ? he said...its 10:55, i said...its 10:50 ? he then just seemed frustrated and hung up...wtf? what a lazy jerk...i mean if youre working at a place and youre not closed...then take someone's order...how hard can it be...if you're closed then dont say u close at 11...and for the people who say oh its the end of shift...its not...ive been to lots of places that close at the right time and even that place...anyhow it was just rude incompetent and stupid... just bad service and attitude...

Refused to change my money back
Last Sunday, I paid $20.56 bought a tuna sandwich and a bottle of orange juice for $9.56 (included tax) at New York’s Kings Plaza Mall, and then I tried to find my seat to put down my sandwich first. Then when I came back to get my change, the cashier refused to change the $11 back to me. Does anyone know what she told me when I asked for me change? She said she cannot change $11 back to me. She said she changed for me already. But I never get it. How can this happen?. The seat is 2 meters away and I just tried to put my sandwich first since there was too crowd. But she refused to give me back my change. and she asked me to call back next day after counting the cash. Does anyone agree phone call is the good way to solve an argument?

Does anyone know what she meant by call back tomorrow? I know because I worked as a customer service representative. Usually, when a manager asked you to call back next day means ask you to get out. This is the skill to solve the problem or argument. I am truly understand why she asked me to call back. 1). When you argue with her, you bother other customers, so some customer will leave.as a result, the company made lesser money. 2). As a manager, if employee or customer complain, he/she would not report to the supervisor because it may affect the promotion or sometime even being fired, that’s why when the security guard want to check the camera, she said nothing, she scared.

And then next day, I tried to file a complaint twice, and asked them to send a gift card for me, because I believe issuing gift card is the best way to prevent a company losing the money they earned before. But by now I have never got any response nor got my cash back.

Hello, all Subway restaurant managers and customer service representatives, I’ve made purchase in www.drugstore.com and www.newegg.com their customer service representatives offer individual credit discount for me. Why you cannot just consider offering discount for a 12 years royal customer?
