roach by soda machine
I was surprise that after 4 months that I mentioned to my friend that there was a huge roach by the soda machine at the subway, he has not gone back to eat there. He said that since I mentioned it to the employee and the employee did not do anything about it it meant that they have a lot of roaches and that the employee was not shocked because of one roach. He was grossed out by Subway having roaches there. We have already heard that ants crawl on the meat at subway, but roaches, that is nasty. Ants are nasty too. What's next, rats?

Refuse to make new sub/credit/rude manager
Today I went to the Subway on Portage Avenue and Basswood, (Wolseley) in Winnipeg, and purchased two breakfast egg and sausage wraps to go. When my partner and I bit into the wraps the sausage tasted gamy and we decided not to eat them. I've had the wraps many times before and was very happy when subway decided to do all day breakfast, as I don't eat sandwich meat and I like the idea of both the wrap and the protein. They've never tasted gamy before, so I thought there must be something wrong. I had food poisoning from the Pita Pit before, so I'm careful with fast food. When I went back to the store to return it, albeit, it was a bit later as I had a 2 hour work out, but I had the receipt and there was only one bite out of each and I only wanted credit or a new wrap (no sausage, this time). I was pretty hungry by now. I never imagined it would be a problem. The "manager" was instantly defensive and antagonistic, talking over me and cutting me off, she even scoffed at me, laughed at me and talked to me as though I was trying to "pull one over" on her, when all I wanted was my meal. I asked for the owners contact info or the head office and she assured me that she was the only person I would get to speak to. She took great delight in pushing my buttons and tried very hard to make me react and was quite elated when I did. The owners of the Subway chains in Winnipeg should be more selective in who they hire to "manage" their stores. I'm a frequent Subway customer (2-3 times a week) and am very disappointed in such horrific customer service. They should also train the staff to change gloves after handling money or cleaning up the store, as the young girls working when I initially ordered just kept the old gloves on. I believe that defeats the purpose of the gloves, in the first place.

After visiting the mount ommonley subway restaurant in brisbane last Friday, i just had to write a comment on how filthy the tables were and that was every table, in the end we had to clean our table ourselfs.
Very disapointed subway dont think i will be visiting your restaurant again.

Subway RestaurantRefusal of Service
I decide to go to subway for my lunch break. I get to the cashier and hand the clerk my card to purchase my sandwich. She swipes my card over and over but it would not go through. Barely speaking english the cashier tells me " your card no good". So she goes and get the so called manager. The so called manager comes and tries to manually input the numbers in from my credit card from a keyboard that's covered in some sort of saran wrap. Now I'm thinking to myself there is no way she is going to correctly input those #'s in unless she slows down and make sure she inputs the correct numbers. Instead she tries only once and then tells me my card was declined. So I leave and go to an atm to get cash. Once I get back I tell the manager that it was nothing wrong with my card and try to give her the $20 bill to pay for my food. Instead she throws the $20 bill at me and refuse to sell me the food. I ask for her name and her supervisors information and she gets really upset and refuses to release any of the information. So of course I'm baffled behind the whole situation. Then she threatens to call the police. I tell her to go ahead because I have done nothing wrong. And low and behold she calls them and they come out and just merely assess the situation. The police officer says that she didn't have to release that information to me. So in the end I didn't get a chance to eat lunch in addition to going back to work late.

mixing non veg with veg
hello friends
today on forcing upon by my friend i had a chance to visit subway rest.patiala. being a guru sikh and totally a vegetarian i never go to restaurants who serve both veg n non veg food stuff.but upon his insisting we a group of 8 friends went to subway at patiala as he said that they have separate sections for veg n non veg foods and they maintain very strict protocols not to mix the things up at any level i.e.from preparations of sandwiches to baking of breads in d ovens and even to the people who make d sandwiches everything is separate.But to my surprize when we were ordering, the sauces they were using were being CONTAMINATED, as the same bottles were used in both veg n non veg sections and the other level of separation was also not at all satisfactory.so i suggest all d GURU SIKHS or ARYA SAMAJIS or D BRAHMINS and last but not d least 100% PURE VEG EATERS not to have any thing from PATIALA SUBWAY new leela bhawan seeing which even we had to cancel d order for 8 of us.

poor customer service
I ordered a foot long BLT with extra bacon, like I have many, many times in the past. When the order was rung up, I was charged $7.40 for the sub. When I asked why this amount I would told that was the charge for what I ordered. I explained that I wanted extra bacon for $1.00 as the sign clearly said, not double bacon for $2.40 as the sign also clearly said. The taller blond haired girl that identified herself as the manager said that it was a matter of my choice of words and the next time I should clarify that I wanted 4 extra pieces. She then proceeded to remove the 4 pieces of bacon from my already packaged sub and re rang my order. My complaint is about her attitude towards a middle aged customer. She was most condescending and arrogant.

Very rude employee
My husband went into a Subway restaurant tonight. We were waited on by a young girl. After she started to fix our sandwich she started to sneeze. She turned away from the bread and then excused herself so she could go to the back. She probably washed her hands and changed her gloves. This is not a complaint about the girl. After she went to the back a man came over and asked what I wanted on the sandwich. I politly asked him if he would please make my sandwich on another loaf of bread. I told him that I was sorry to be so much trouble but I didn't want to catch a cold. He jerked the loaf of bread up and threw it away. Then he bent over and got another loaf. Then he actually threw the empty tray up top. He threw it so hard that it made a loud sound. I told him again that I was sorry to ask for another loaf of bread. He rudly asked me what I wanted on the sandwich. I told him that it was ok and my husband and I just walked out and went somewhere else. We have never been treated so rude in a restaurant! There was no reason for the man to be so rude! The restaurant wasn't busy at all. Like I stated before, the young girl was not at fault. The older man was the one who was so rude! The time we were in the Subway was around 7:15 to 7:30 on May 27. We love to eat at the Subways and usually eat there several times a week. I think the company needs to know about this incident.

Bait and Switch False Advertising
I think everyone has heard Subway's advertised $5 Footlong Sub deal either on TV or the radio, or has seen it in print somewhere. A few weeks back, I thought I'd take advantage of this deal and try the Philly Steak and Cheese footlong sub, but before I ordered the lady said it was not on the $5 footlong sub list. I thought, OK, it is a promotion. No problem. Today, I ordered a regular footlong plain steak and cheese sub. At the register I learned that my sub came to $7.86 - over 1-1/2 times what I was expecting to pay thinking I was getting the $5 deal. I then learned that there were THREE subs excluded from the footlong subs list even though they were foot long subs. I asked why they didn't have a sign up as to avoid surprises like mine, and she said they used to have one somewhere, but didn't know where it was. As I handed over my card because I didn't have enough cash, the jingle I had heard on the radio moments before ran through my head "$5, $5 footlong - ANY footlong". Is this a classic example of Bait and Switch? Maybe a few dollars here and there doesn't seem like much, but with over 30, 000 franchise stores in operation, a few dollars here and there can go a long way. I'm thinking that's a pretty good return on false advertising. Why not have the consumer pay for it, right? Not in this economy.

Fraud and scam
On Friday October 4th 2008 my family and I went to Subway. There I won the $5 gift card. Then they had this code where you log on fill out information to win a prize so I filled out that information. There was a math question. The answer was 80 and I got it right all my myself without help so you sent a email saying I won the prize because I answered the question right. I looked in the mail every day for a letter for me. Today I got one. It was addressed to my parents but for me because if you are under 13 it is addressed to a parent for the child. Thanks for sending it
