Dishes dirtier than when they went in the machine
Do not buy Sunlight dishwasher detergent "now with Oxy-action." Our dishes Saturday came out of the dishwasher still dirty with an added nasty scum that could only be removed from our stainless steel cutlery by Twinkle polish. I had been using a box of Cascade given me by a friend but when it was finished I opened a brand-new box of Sunlight (I usually alternate between Sunlight and Electrasol depending which is on sale). Never again. We ran the dishwasher empty with half a cup of baking powder, then ran it again with a couple of cups of vinegar. It's a brand new dishwasher by the way, and has not given us any trouble in the two or three months that we have had it. The stainless steel cutlery seemed almost electrolyzed, which is impossible because the inside of the dishwasher is all plastic, there was no other metal of any description in the wash cycle. To give the product the benefit of the doubt, we washed Sunday morning's breakfast dishes with the Sunlight -- same problem again! Do not use this product. We are also having trouble sifting our way through the business end. We used to know that Sunlight was manufactured by Lever Brothers but now, we can't find our way through the maze that involves Unilever and Phoenix Brands (which apparently was a shell corporation set up by Lehman Brothers, who acquired various products and set up Phoenix as a company name for them) to make our complaint heard.

Don't buy this product
I recently bought Sunlight OxiAction detergent to use in my dishwasher. It was advertised as a new product and looked promising, as well was on sale so I gave it a shot. Not only did it not clean my dishes at all- there were even still lipstick marks and finger prints all over glasses and mugs- but it left a heavy coating over all my dishes and left my silverware looking tarnished. I thought there was something wrong with my dishwasher until I switched to Cascade and the problem was fixed. I wont ever be buying Sunlight OxiAction detergent again, I was very disappointed and frustrated.
