We had the worst experience purchasing an F250 from Sunrise Ford in Fontana. We had been looking to purchase an F250 and found a used 2008 fully loaded Lariat that we liked.
Steve Morley started working with us on the price and payments on the vehicle. Then his brother Seth Morley took over and told us that he could get us in the truck. The general manager, Jim Snivley ran some numbers and we signed the contract that night. We didn’t hear anything from them for almost two weeks. Twelve days after we signed the contract and were driving the truck, figuring everything was okay because we hadn’t heard from them, we get a call from Seth. He said, “You need to bring the truck back today. We couldn’t find a bank to finance the truck.” Seth didn’t try to give us other options, as one would think they would like to sell a vehicle. Instead he offered to bring us our trade-in and down-payment check and pick up the truck. It didn’t end there. Jim Snivley called and threatened to take further action if we didn’t take in the truck. Mind you until that day we didn’t know anything about there being a problem.
To make a long nightmare short, we returned the truck and Sunrise Ford in Fontana lost a sale of a truck. We have gone with another Ford dealer and purchased a new F250 Lariat. They found a bank to finance the new truck and our purchase price for our new truck was less than the one we returned to Sunrise Ford.
In our five different experiences purchasing vehicles at dealerships, we have never had such disgusting treatment. Unfortunately one cannot believe in the honesty, and ethics of dealerships such as Sunrise Ford in Fontana. Thankfully we are able to voice our experiences to the public so others do not fall into the trap of these unethical, unprofessional, under qualified, dishonest, and deceptive scoundrels.
