I am trying once again for someone to respond to this email. This is the third time I have sent this correspondence and have yet to have a response from the hotel or anyone else regarding this situation.

My wife and I stayed at your resort - Sunset Beach Resort and Spa - June 16-23. This was the 5th time we have visited the Caribbean but our first time in Jamaica. Overall, the hotel was nice and the service for the restaurant, bar and hotel was good. In our other stays we have never had reason to call maintenance until this stay. We arrived Saturday and were given a room in Tower A on the second floor. The music was so loud we had trouble getting to sleep. It sounded like the band was in the room with us. I called the front desk and asked that our room be changed. The next morning we moved ourselves to Tower B, Rm 805. We noticed that the toilet didn't flush very well. It continued to get worse. We called for maintenance 3 days in a row before someone came and fixed the problem. Any later and the floor would have been flooded. Another concern we had was on Thursday evening between the time we went to dinner and the time we returned to our room someone had come in and change the remote for our t.v. We think that what probably happened is that someone else from another room called about their remote not working and the room number was mixed up and maintenance came to our room instead. Our main concern was that when I called the desk to inquire about it there was no record of anyone having come into our room. The original remote we had worked fine and the one we were left with did not work. I called for maintenance to see about this and didn't hear from anyone for over an hour. When someone finally came he too called to see if there was a record of anyone having been in our room and was told that there was no record of anyone having been in there. This is unsettling to know that someone can come into your room and there is no record of it. Anyway, maintenance said he would try to find the correct remote and bring it back to us. Since I told him we were going to sleep in about an hour he told us if he wasn't back in an hour he would make sure we got the correct remote the next morning. Well, we never did get a working remote. Last, but surely not least, was the food. We have stayed at several other all inclusive hotels with good food and variety. It seems that the Sunset really didn't offer any variety. Each day there was fish and chicken, chicken and fish, etc. We did not feel that the variety or quality of the food was good. One night we ordered pizza in so as not to have the same entree choices again. On our last night there, Friday, my wife and I both became nauseated upon entering the restaurant and having the strong smell of fish hit us. After dinner neither of us were feeling well and retired early. I don't know if we will visit Jamaica again, unless in another area and I would not recommend the Sunset Hotel.
