Underhanded Thieves!
I walked into Sunshine Ford looking to test drive an all new Ford Fiesta. I managed to, and all seemed to be going fairly well. However I mentioned to the salesman that I would be trading in my 2010 BMW X3 he started to salivate and insist on getting an appraisal. I agreed and then all hell broke lose. Without asking, they screeched my car off the lot to "appraise it". I could see a young man slouched over like a hoodlum speeding away in my car, I immediately asked where he was taking my car, but they insisted it was all apart of a normal appraisal. I'm sure a BMW is very exciting for him, but I was shocked that they would let some punk kid just whip my car around, regardless of whose son he is. Once they got it "appraised" they returned with the trade in value of my car which was significantly less than what I was being offered by other dealers, Approximately 5-6 grand less. They also managed to jack up the price of the Fiesta to 19, 000. I told them I wanted a black fiesta sedan with an automatic transmission. The salesman left to go speak with his manager, shortly returning to insist that we get something currently on the lot. I was on the edge about the Ford Fiesta to begin with, leaning more towards the Toyota Yaris, or the Suzuki SX4. I was set on the Fiesta, but they insisted that I get something else. As soon as they saw what I was currently driving, and I meant business about buying a car, they went from telling me that I could get any Fiesta in any trim level I wanted without a problem to insisting that really I was better off getting a car on the lot. It was incredible, as if I was just some random asshole number they were trying to close the book on. Their story switched twice on me, at first the car was great and very easy to get in any trim level I wanted. Then it was extremely difficult to find and I was better off getting a car on the lot. I went to write this review on Google reviews, but come to find out, they got so many negative reviews on Google, they petitioned Google to have themselves removed. All I can say is stay away, You are definitely going to get screwed over. As for me, I am heading to one of the other many, many ford dealerships in my immediate area, then to Toyota, and Suzuki.
