Delay, Overcharge, Lost Articles
As short as possible: Moving my 92 yr. old mother from Las Vegas - Edgewater, NJ. Given a price of $1, 450.00 (1799#). Approx. 10 day delivery. Gave a deposit of $360.50. Additional payment of $550.00 due on pick-up - 7/31/10. Pick-up driver wouldn't accept payment - said office would call me. They didn't. I called them. they said their system was down. Agreed to pay pick-up amount on delivery. Received a call stating approx. 900# overweight. ...impossible. Two weeks no delivery - can't locate furniture. Three weeks, no delivery - furniture still in Vegas warehouse. Trying to ship following week. Had to buy a recliner, and additional furniture so my Mother could get by. Driver finally arrives on Sept 1, 2010. No helpers, just the driver. I had a choice. Wait for driver to find helpers or help unload. I unloaded the truck with the driver. No dolly, had to borrow. ... Missing ...legs for two tables, computer table, dishes, could be more. Weights were grossly exaggerated. Small love seat @ 350# driver estimated under 100#, drop leaf table @ 210# - driver, under 50#, small chest of drawers 175# - driver 40#, Moved same furniture 2 - 3 yrs earlier. Weight was approx. 1300#. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thank you, John Guarino

very bad experience
1. Without discussing with me, the company charged $500 extra for packing materials. When I asked them why I was charged for this, they said it's because they gave me a low price quote to begin with, and they have to charge me more to compensate. This is fraud.
2. The packing job was very poor(Their own staff constantly complained so during unloading.) with multiple damages and furniture missing - including our queen-size box spring, shocking how that's lost.
3. During loading, the mover put a big hole in my wall and refused to pay for repair.
