Closed their Doors
My husband and I were working with Supreme Lending in MO to refinance our home. Everything was on target and we were expected to close before the end of the month. Our home was appraised on Tuesday. It was our understanding we would know within 48 hours what our home appraised for and when we should expect to close the loan. When we began calling the office in MO the phone was disconnected. Our loan officer would not answer the phone nor would reply to our emails.
I called corporate office and received the run around and was told to speak with Kevin Blair in Chattanooga, TN. My husband and I have both called and left messages for Mr. Blair. When he did not return my call, I emailed Mr. Blair. Mr. Blair responded back with how sorry he was for my family and I to have "got caught up in us closing our office in MO". He proceeds to say he is "Sorry to say they cannot complete our loan due to not having an office in MO". However, all of our personal information was destroyed when he was in MO last weekend. (Days before our appraisal). Which makes me question why he has a copy of my appraisal, which he will forward to another company free of charge? He continues to explain he is sorry for any inconvenience and if there is anything, he can to do help please let him know. He has continued to refuse to return our phone calls. We have not received a copy of the appraisal, which we paid for. We were not notified of the office closure or of the lack of the company’s ability to complete our loan! Mr. Blair will not communicate via phone with us, nor will reply to email at this time. While I feel extremely sorry for the people who were working for this HORRIBLE company who have now lost their jobs, I still believe they had an obligation to their consumers. This is a horrible company who does not care about their consumers!! We have lost several thousands of dollars over this ordeal. Do NOT do business with Supreme Lending in any state!!!

Rude, hostile, agressive behavior
Never have I been treated so oddly, and so rudely by a business. I am actually freightened of this lender -- as in they may do something to cause my famully harm Here is teh odd (and "have too much time" ) email they sent. I was so polite to this man -- he just was like a bloodhound on a scent.

If you refi in 5 years what would be the point ? You told me yourself that you ‘’ Don’t need cash “ ‘’ and you don’t have ANY financial needs ‘’
So if you are in a perfect spot as far as money is concerned Why would you refi now and then refi again in 5 years ???? Does not make much sense ? No matter what the statics say !
These are the cold hard facts ! The numbers don’t lie at 3.875 % on a 10 year loan with bi weekly payments you can own your home in 8 years in 2 months saving you 57, 648.00 in Payments !!
( that is 1201.00 your current payment X 12 = 14, 412.00 X 4 years for a total of 57, 648.00 )
By being secure in your Financial position and you don’t need the money why not save 50k + in payments and over 50k + in interest ? This is a better rate then you have now 3.875 & on a shorter term 10 year fixed !
We also DON’T need an appraisal so there is NO out of pocket cost to you.
What would be the purpose to refi again in 5 years if you don’t need the money and you will own your home in 8.25 years ?
On a side note I thought I would take a second out of my day to explain myself and give you some feedback on how you came across. I was not doing anything to push you into a loan all I wanted to do was ask you a few questions so maybe I could shed some light on why this would be a GREAT opportunity for your family to take advantage of a 3.875 % rate on a 10 year fixed loan. I laid this out above and if you still were not interested I would have thanked you for the opportunity to earn your business and kindly move on…..
BUT Instead of that happening you treated me like I was a kid in your class that did not deserve any of your respect, after I worked up several options at your request and came in on Saturday to go over them! Also I have not heard back from you since I sent my break down email I thought to call you today because maybe the week days are a little crazy to do business since you do have a very important job in educating our youth. So instead of giving me any respect you choose to speak over me and hang up the phone up as if you did not ask for this information by applying on line ?? If I recall correctly I did not cold call your home as a telemarketer I responded to your request for information Correct ? I pray that since you have a influence over our youth you’re not teaching them this is an acceptable way to treat people. You must think your off the hook by saying things in a kind manner no matter how you say it, it’s not ok to hang up on someone that you asked for information from. Furthermore by not allowing me to speak my piece (that maybe would have taken 3 min’s of your time worst case) it’s clear to me that you don’t look at people in my line of work as human beings that are trying to support a family working by working on a Saturday! I know since you hold a position as the school Liberian I must be a sleazy sales person Right ? Because if this is not the way you look at me I am little confused after the way I was treated on our phone call ??? What I must not be is man that really wanted to make sure you received the best Rates and best service by coming in Saturday to give you the best options. All I was hoping to accomplish was to come in today so I did NOT cut into your work week or cut into weekday family time because if its anything like my home the weekdays are tough to do anything. Your right now that I look back on it hanging up on me was the right thing to do don’t you think ?

Bad news
LendingTree got us to Ashford in Alpharetta in Aug 09 and then we experienced our first mysterious and worrisome delay. We were told that the business had changed to Supreme Lending and that delays were due integration issues.
We have very good credit, have been steadily employed etc and live in a very desirable neighborhood with stable, rising home prices defying the bust.
We were supplied with an acceptable GFE in September 2009, had a successful appraisal and submitted material for many separate additional and unexpected requests then were SCHEDULED TO CLOSE -the title company had called and was coming to our house one day in early December. We canceled travel plans to accommodate that. Supreme canceled via voicemail and we reached a dead end thereafter when our calls were not returned - including messages and voicemails for our agent's supervisor and the branch manager. It was only after we called Texas multiple times that we finally heard back from Supreme in late January who wanted to restart the process.
We understand that the underwriting rules and debt/loan ratio have changed since our original GFE due to changes in regulations. We were then given a new GFE with higher interest (we were told REPEATEDLY that the original rate would be honored. ) The new GFE requires ~60, 000 cash to the table which we are prepared to provide we were then told that it would be too difficult to get that loan because of the amount of money we want to put in
We wrote to request a return our $400 dollar appraisal fee (we were promised in all of the initial conversations and the first GFE that this would be reimbursed).
This cost us hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars in lost savings but the worst part of this experience is the unprofessional aspects of Supreme's behavior and communications with us. WE BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO DO WHAT WE WERE ASKED and they did NOT perform and NEVER replied to our requests after that last conversation.

Process
I actually had a very good experience with Supreme Lending regarding their appraisal process, but I did want to post on this site because I had a negative appraisal experience at my local bank about a year ago.
Supreme Lending completed my loan really quickly and their appraisal was done by a very knowledgeable appraiser.
I wish I wouldnt have wasted my time at the bank last year, and would have just dealt with Supreme from the begining. that would have saved me a lot of money and headaches.

appraisal fee
i have been working with this company that promised me a refinance for 8mths!!! first i worked with todd and 3 days before we were supposed to close he cut off all contact with me. i called and spoke with the manager and they had grant take over my case.i had to re do everything!! including faxes which cost me more money!! between both on paper work i spent over 100.00!!! then i payed 450.00 for an appraisal and grant cut off all contact also, he actually called me just to let me know the loan was going through for sure!! the appaisal lady ann, said our house did not meet fha guidlines and she didn't finish the appraisal, she only charged supreme lending for the trip out here 200.00 so where is the other 250.00??? i have tried to call, email both companies, (ann because she wanted to use my old appraisal to save her some time and said she would send it back, well its been over a month and i haven't seen that either.) no one returns my money or calls. i am entitled to that 250.00 and i consider this as theft. this is the worst company ever!!! they steal, lie and cheat!!!
