Bad service
My first problem with this shop happened back in may of 2010, i dropped off a transmission to be fixed and then i would install this myself, well the transaction went fine and the man i had delt with(Carlos) was a very nice guy, well that transmission only lasted 2300 miles and a month later i was back, this time i let him remove the transmission and reinstall it, he had my truck for 4 weeks, and during this time he had put 3 transmissions in it or so he said, the whols time charging me for parts and labor when it should have been free since he did not fix it right the first time. During all this my uncle who is a very tallented mechanic and a clark county firefighter engineer had his truck fixed by the shop so his gets in and out in a week, on his road test he notices that it shifts sloppy where it did not do that before and it feels like it is in two gears at the same time, he drops it back off and carlos trys to fix it, 2 days later he picks up his truck, its a little better but not quite right, but he has to have his truck to go out of town the next day, he drives it to arizona and half way there his tranny fails, he had to get towed home($780)and it ruined his trip, he went with another shop and has not had any problems yet. so back to my truck i finally pick it up and there are two dents on the front drivers side fender and my dipstick is missing and there is an exaust leak, this is all i notice at first when picking it up, i drive it and it does not shift good at all so i trun around and drop it off, carlos trys to fix it and calls me 3 days later and tells me my truck is done, so i pick it up and it still shifts horrible but he tells me to take it home and the shifting should get better as it breaks in. Well carlos is a nice guy so i believe him but just under 2000 miles later my truck breaks down on the freeway across town late at night on a weekend, so i pay the tow bill($260), and get it home, monday i go looking for another shop with a reputation, i stopped in a talked to carlos and he said bring my truck back to him but i am convinced he does not know what he is doing and he will just charge me again anyway so i am done with him, the next day tuesday, i put my truck on the rack at my familys shop and begin to remove my transmission, there are many bolts missing, stripped, wires frayed, and even loose, i begin to get really angry, i have not once asked for my money back but this makes me want it now, the parts of missing broke parts are as follows, 1.missing dipstick, 2.missing exaust flange gasket, 3.missing exaust hanger, 4.missing motor mount bolt, 5.missing bellhousing bolt, 6.srtipped oil pan(bellhousing) bolt, 7. broken shift cable(rigged back together), 8.loose torque converter bolts(2 out of 3), 9.frayed o2 sensor wire, 10.frayed knock sensor wire, 11.wrong year tranmission and valve body(i found this out after doing some research and how to read the case numbers and my truck is a 4l65e 05, he put a 4l60e out of a 97 and charged me for the 05. so with all this the bill is getting pretty expensive just to replace the stuff he messed up not including the trans rebuild, the receipts i have come to almost $500 not including the new tranny itself. This guy does shaddy work, if i did not see all this stuff wrong with the install i don't think i would be writing you right now, total SRT Transmission is into me for $2300 not including the new shop and there fees for my new tranny to fix the first second and third tranny that carlos did. Please help any way you can i have tried to talk to carlos to get some of my money back but he tell me he will when i file a report with the BBB.
