My father received charges on his credit card that weren’t his. The charges showed up as “SURTOUCHLD 8666483576”. My father called Chase and got the charges taken off. Since I had worked for a telecom company for 9 years it looked like some kind of long distance service with the the “LD” at the end. I went online and Googled SURTOUCHLD. I typed it in Google as “SURTOUCH LD”. I found that this was also associated with “DIGITOUCH LD”. When Googleing “DIGITOUCH LD” I found many scam type complaints and unauthorized charge complaints. I called the toll free number on the charge and a person answered the phone with “Customer service”. I asked who it was and they stated again Customer service. I asked what company and they stated that that did Customer service for many companies. I asked about Digitouch and they stated they do Customer service for Digitouch. I began to explain that Digitouch was making unauthorized charges on credit cards and I was passed off to what I was told was a manager. (Keep in mind that I had already researched the web and read numerous comments and complaints about Digitouch. This company does not have a wed site either.) This so-called manager was extremely pushy and rude. I was barley able to explain why I was calling. The person interrupted me several times why’ll I was trying to explain what has happened and this person tried to turn the conversation around to the point that they stated “would you let me talk?” It began to sound like the complaints I was reading on line. He started blaming it on my father and also tried to explain away the on line complaints. The person would then eventually not let me talk at all. I yelled some things and hung up hoping I could get under this persons skin.
The point I was trying to explain to this so-called Digitouch manager is that it would be impossible for him to give my father long distance service. My father has VOIP telephone service through Armstrong Cable, which already gives you unlimited no charge long distance service. That’s why my father got the VOIP service.
