First off, I would like to say Sutherland Models is NOT a scam, but it is however, a rip off. They accept ANYONE, even if your as tall as a metre stick, if you have money. You pay $997, plus a $200 deposit to hold your spot in their modelling program for teens. You have to pay more for your comp photos, which cost about $100 for 2 prints.
About half the classes aren't very beneficial, and in total isn't worth your money. The 'big' fashion show at the end of the class is held in 1 of the 2 small rooms we've been working in. The food was provided by parents of other model hopefuls and not Sutherland.
The lights are so dim, that even a make-up artist complained about the lighting.
After the course is completed, you enter ModelWork, you pay about $140 to enter, it's a "stepping stone' in your career, and you go do go-sees, without pay.
Then, after ModelWork, you have to "try-out" to be in the agency! After you pay out all that money you're still not with Sutherland Models. Then I'm assuming, they take more money.
I suggest you go to a different agency, this one is not recommended.
