A young man gets hired on at this swifty station as gas attendent over a year ago. Get dismissed ( to my understanding ) for too many tardies. OK, thats understandable, jobs are not set for the convenience of the employee but rather to the demand of the position offered.
So the young man decides to improve his life and joins a division of the armed forces: goes through basics and graduates in the top of he class with top grades to prove his abilities and then returns to his stationed location. Until he's able to further his education or called for duty, he returns home and starts to seek employment.
As luck would have it, returns to this same Swifty Gas Station to seek employment and gets rehired.
Now on his first week on the job, there's comes the end of a day where the money is totaled and the end balance falls approximently $70.00 short. Now there are I think 4 or 5 employees that work this shift. Most are young men probably with varying education levels on the same shift.
This young man fears because he is the new guy that the blame will shift toward him( though anyone who has work at gas stations knows that sometimes the daily balance goes over, sometimes falls short) and decides rather than risk losing his job, he will except the loss and pull the debit from his own check and bring the balance to even(offering the $70.00 to his boss so no-one gets in trouble ).
Again remember this young man is a honest boy, and believes in morals. Also remember he is in the military so a blimmish like this could harm his carreer!
NOW! GET THIS!
The ideology of this particular Station and apparently the distict manager is THE NEW GUY TAKES THE FALL! and is fired. WHAT!!!
Do they honestly expect someone to believe that in this 21st century that employees must work under such primitive guidelines? That such a large corporation would have no way to tally the bankroll of each employee at end of the day? To know who brought in the larger amounts of cash at the end of the day, which would obliviously signify
who are the harder workers? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
If this is truly the way this corporation does business they need a reality check! SHAME ON YOU !!!
Your not only doing business carelessly but now you may have tarished a young mans employment record, as well as his military record . Doesn't that mean anything to these people???
