Do NOT purchase from this company
I wish I had checked out their complaints before I purchased. I bought a Polaris ATV complete with hoses. I stated that this system could be used with a dedicated line. Anyway as soon as we received it we got it out of the box, into the water and my husband had to attach it using the skimmer. WEll we had paid over $1000 to have our pool fixed with an inline system to not have to use the skimmer. First of all I contacted Swimming Pools Etc online to try to get an RA# It does not work . I do it over and over ten times. It does not accept it. I wonder if EVERYONE has this problem. So I call the company. I paid $416.95 for the product, it was $408.00 then handling . They said they had to charge me a 25% restocking fee. I'm Like WHAT ! I had just ordered from another company and got a full refund. Anyhow we had battle of the works on phone and email. They said well they Sell cheaper so they have to have a restocking fee. I wait a few days decide to let them eat another $100 bucks and the girl says she has to get it approved. I wait TWO MORE WEEKS NOTHING. I emailed them today. Their response simply" this item can not be returned" I send an email back "the reason?" they send another one back "it's been opened" ! Well that wasn't a problem the first day I called. So NEVER EVER again ! I wish I could purchase a google page to tell everyone. I'm glad I found this complaint page anyhow. BUt I lost $416.95 and have something i can't use. Beverly

Avoid at all costs
Swimming Pools Etc. com (SPE) should be avoided at all costs. You won't get a fair shake if something goes amiss. I recently placed an order with SPE for a Thermostat (89.00) and simple LED Bulb ($42.00). By the way, the "free shipping" is offset by a "handling fee". Using the info. posted on their web site, I confirmed its compatibility with my lighting system. The bulb shipped to me was not even close. I called and spoke with a representative whom looked at the web site and agreed with me, but still required that I submit an email to their support group. Over the course of the following week I was stone walled with regard to how to resolve the errant part. Not once did they even offer to exchange the part for the correct one. Instead, when pressed they essentially reverted to blaming me for ordering the wrong part. I eventually called again and was finally told to submit an RGA Form, only to find out that they were going to charge me a 25% restocking fee + shipping. And this was clearly their mistake. I confirmed the errors on SPE's site by later searching and viewing other web sites which provided detailed pictures and definitive specification of the the bulb I was shipped. They were clearly wrong but were willing to screw me for a mere $42.00 bucks. As a matter of principle, I plan to work my protest through MasterCard and vow that I will never do business with them again.
