REFUND REQUEST
I HAVE COMPLETED THE STEPS DETAILED BY SWIPEAUCTIONS.COM IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A REFUND FROM THEM BUT NOW THEY STATE THAT THEY CANNOT GIVE ANY REFUNDS. THIS SEEMS LIKE A HUGE SCAM AND I HAVE SEE A BIT MORE NOW ABOUT OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN CHEATED BY SWIPEAUCTIONS. THIS SITE PREYS ON THOSE WHO WANT TO TRY TO GET A GOOD DEAL. IN THIS CLIMATE EVERYONE IS TRYING TO GET A DEAIL AND IT SEEMS LIKE ITS BECOMING EASIER TO FALL PREY. I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT THRU THE BBB AND CONTACT THE ATTORNEYS WHO ARE ACCUMULATING DATA IN ORDER TO GET IN ON THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND I WILL ALSO WRITE THE MEDIA WHO IT SEEMS IS INTERESTED IN ALL OF THIS. I WILL ALSO WRITE THE CEO AND ALSO HOPE TO HEAR FROM [email protected] . I AM VERY VERY ANGRY THAT SOMEBODY WOULD TRY TO CASH IN ON THE PUBLIC THIS WAY. I AM PERSONALLY UPSET BY THIS AND WILL TAKE THE TIME TO PUBLICIZE THIS INCIDENT

a man who lost $159.00

Deceitful Practices / RIP-OFF!!!
Initially they will advertise as internet auction website similar to e-bay. To verify membership they will ask for credit card and other personal information. Once provided with the info - they will automatically charge $159.00
Once the victim starts disputing their rip-off practices - they will offer their ‘100% Money Back Guarantee’. In order to get the money refunded the victim has to fill out 4 page long application and mail it to them on paper along with a copy of government issued ID.
After weeks of ‘processing’ the victim supposed to receive the refund but it never happens.
Instead they direct the victim to their automated costumer service where he gets the following message:
“Verlie#SA9298: Swipeauctions is winding down operations due to merchant shutting down our processing and is no longer accepting new customers. In addition, Swipeauctions will not issue refunds for membership fees (see the Swipeauctions' Terms & Conditions). It has always been our intention to refund our valuable customers as per our Money Back Guarantee, but with the merchant account shutting down and not allowing us to refund, we are unable to assist you any further with a refund.”
Since they take not only peoples money but also their personal information based on government issued identification documents, it is very likely that the whole scam is run with criminal intend and associated with illegal or even terrorist activities (possibly counterfeit of US issued id’s for foreigners, etc.).
According to internet sources; SwipeAuctions.com is operated and owned by Canadian software pirate and scoundrel Jesse Willms whom over past years performed several internet scams via his Canadian based Just Think Media company. The company has several thousands BBB complains and is currently investigated for fraud.
STAY AWAY FROM THE CROOKS !!!

Refund denied
I too was scammed by SwipeAuctions.com. I as also roped into signing up unaware that they would charge my account without an account summary page before submitting my order. I followed the process to get my money refunded and when I called them they said they had gone out of business and would not be able to refund the money. I immediately went to their website and they are very much still in business. They told me they were being shut down and didn't have any money to give refunds back with. I will be looking into this further and if anyone finds out how we can get our refunds back please let me know.

refund denied
A few weeks ago I was roped into signing up, unaware that they would charge my account without an account summary page before submitting my order, but no, they instantly took out my money. I got on the phone and called my credit card company to cancel, but it was too late. I downloaded the refund request form, and jumped through allthe hoops. today I called to get my refund processed and they said they are "winding down operation" and are no longer giving refunds. I just found it convenient that it occurred when I went to receive my refund. I hope that someone figures out a way for us to get out money back from these @$$holes. Let Karma come back around to them, they surely deserve it.

refund
I didn't understand that there was a charge of 159.00, it said to press continue, I would expect to see a confirm button to be purchased something, if I was ask to confirm payment I would never have joined this group, I had no idea, I want my money back. I overnighted the return form, for 18.00 and I am told no matter what I will not receive my money for 28 days, I am not happy

un-authorized charges
I would just like to share some information regarding my experience with this site. I, like so many others, decided I would check out this auction site because I had seen it advertised on Facebook several times and it sounded too good to be true, (which it actually was.) I had never actually had anyone explain how an actual " Penny Auction" site worked but I found out after the fact which was my own fault for not doing my research first. I did register on the site just as the information was asked( card information also) and then clicked the " Start bidding" button at the bottom and was automatically charged $159 to my account. Now if you have seen or remember seeing on this website or their website at the bottom ( among other places) that they do show the price that is a basic bid package price, and at the bottom it shows the statement " By clicking below you agree to the one time charge of $159", what they do not show in the copy of that page is the small square box to the left of that statement when you actually register. If you have ever paid a bill or have ever seen a " Terms and Conditions " statement at the end in which you agree to said terms by clicking that box this will lead you to believe that you must check the box in order to be charged. This is NOT true. The box means absolutely nothing. It is there just as a page decoration. As soon as I found out that my account was charged I immediately went to the " contact us" tab and attempted to get help by way of an immediate refund from the online help service. That page did not work. I even tried different browsers just to make sure it was not me and it still did not work. There was no contact phone number and after reading up more on the address it seems the contact address was supposedly incorrect. I did not want to go through the whole deal of doing 2 pages and sending them more of my information than I already had so I went to the Better Business Bureau website and filed a complaint for " Bad business practices". It was my detailed situation and what I was expecting from the company. Now I did not expect the BBB to actually get my money, I only wanted to get my complaint added to the list. They sent a copy to the company ( they have a listing of the real address and phone number also) and the companies response to it was that they would refund my money and close my account. approximately 5 days after receiving the response my account was credited back the charge. They also stated that their lawyers had made sure that the charge ( and the site) was legal so that it could not be disputed, ( also sending a copy of the page that is shown during the registration process.) Now I know that me getting a refund just because of a complaint to the BBB is probably a special ( lucky) case and not everyone can get a refund this way, so the best plan is to stay away, period.

Scamming those hardworking
Yes, SwipeAuctions is a scam. I am still waiting for a refund that will probably never happen. This is aside the time I have wasted in doing so, trying to deal with people who have no clue whom they work for. These are our neighbors and Americans thou, whom participate by denying your refund.
The website never fully discloses that they will charge you $159.00 and since they never do so, it is FRAUD. To protect yourself, Cancel your card or call your credit card company and alert them of such. Close your Bank Account or whatever. YOU ARE PROTECTED BY YOUR BANK and CREDIT CARD Companies !
It is always best to alert them that you didn't either recieve the item as described, or alert them you were overcharged and you want to cancel the transaction..entirely...Your bank CAN refund you.
The big picture is, this is a common occurrance. Its not only Fraudulent, under state and Federal Law, it is a crime. Call your the Colorado Attorney General. (303) 866-4500.
In Civil Court, it is false advertising and still Fraud...Stand up, don't let this Britsh based company, Take your hard earned money!!!
