won't give me a refund
I sent in the refund request and was told I qualified for the money back guarantee, allow 2 weeks to receive my refund. I did so, contacted them again and was told that due to technical issues the refund could not be processed in their Admin system therefore; they are forwarding to Head office and they will send me a cheque. Allow additional time for this. I did and again contacted them. This time I was told that due to strict credit card regulations they have been prevented from processing my refund by cheque and the only available option was for me to contact my bank and dispute the charge. I did so Friday so will know in about 10 days if the back will honor my dispute.

Gentlemen:
This letter is about a Swipebids charge of $150 on the above listed card on 6/27/10. On or about 6/27/10 I went to their site and I entered into an account. When I saw their bid packages that they listed, I decided against any package or doing any business with them.
Upon receiving my Chase statement and seeing a $150 charge I called Swipebids.com at 866-389-3870 on 7/2/10 and spoke to Von who told me if someone doesn’t pick a package, the $150 package is picked by default and that I could get a refund by logging on and going to Livechat. I was able to log on but the live chat area of Swipebids was down.
I called them while on vacation on 7/9/10 and was told once again that Livechat must be e-mailed at the Swipebids.com. website for a refund. I called Chase and asked if a credit would be issued. I was told that I would be getting a dispute form to fill out.
Upon returning from vacation, I tried one last time to log into Swipebids.com -which I did. The problem once again was Livechat was down on their site. I asked for a refund and Ray said to go to their site and go to Livechat. I told him that the site is always down. I asked Ray for the corporate mailing address and he refused to give it to me.. He did say that I will be getting a $150 refund during the next 10 business days. which will occur on 7/28/10. I am unsure of whether Ray is telling the truth. On 7/19/10 I called Swipebids again and this time I was told that a check would go out to me within 3 weeks. I told him that this is unacceptable . Just than said “be happy with those terms” -. Just also refused to give his corporate address. On 8/2/10 I called swipe bids one last time I spoke To Von who told me that there were technical difficulties and that he would send a check by 8/15/10.Please see to it that I get a refund of $150. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Corey Polk

150.00 charge to my credeit card
I fell for this scam and did not notice the well hiden charge of 150.00 for a membership fee.
My credit card was charged immediately for 150.00 [non refundable] and they said it is legal
according to their Lawyers. It was supposed to be a penny auction and I never thought about
a member's fee. These people are scum. I will never give out my credit card no. on the internet
to unknowns like this scumbag. It takes low-life like this to ruin a good thing.

Scam
All I did to the best of my knowledge was put my information down and that bought me 300 bids for $150.00 They could be upfront with what they do. Now I can not even get back on that site, to click onto the chat site, which according to the number I dialed to cancel, is the only way to get it cancelled. Have I been taken, yes, have I been scammed, yes.
Anyone, if you have a solution, please let it be know. Sites like www.swipebids.com need to erased from the internet. The cancellation number that was given on the site is 866-389-3870. According to the company they can only cancel the monthly charge of $11.95 This also was a surprise to me for I did not read anywhere of a monthly charge.
To all, be careful of your very hard earned money. Companies like Swipebids will take your $$$ at a blink of an eye.

Charge 150.00dllrs without my authorization
fraudulent charges for memberships
I was charge 150.00dllrs without my authorization. They will not refound the money. They will send you a form that you will not be able to fill up. They inforce you to fill a form not is not working at all. You can not put your information and explaind the complaint. This company shouldn`t be authorize to do business.
They are crimminals. For me it is a lot of money 150.00dllrs. For evry person they get. it does add up to millions of dollars they are stealling. Some body is got to do something about this and get our money back.
It is not fair.

Online Scam
This is the ultimate case of buyer beware. If the deal sounds too good to be true it is a scam.
I signed up for what I thought would be a one time deduction of $11.95. It turns out that if you sign up for this you will be charged every $14.95 month.
You cannot win these auctions. Every time that you bid the duration of the auction increases and the bid price goes up so that you are bidding against yourself. I caught this right away and stopped. I unfortunately can't prove it but I had opted out and thought that I had cancelled my account but in reality I didn't. I have contacted my credit card regarding this so that the charges can be disputed but this was my own fault. I know better to chase this type of scam.
One more word to the wis is to make sure that you check your online credit card statements and verify your charges. There are many scam artists out there that are just dying to get your money.
