Swipebids.com Reviews

Stay away
I paid $150 to join Swipe Bids, which is an online auction. All bids are a penny at a time until an item is won.My membership included 60 free bids per day. They have a 30 day money back guarantee if you didn't win at least 1 auction during this time.About 3 weeks in, they pulled a funny little stunt. At the end of my bidding on that day I had 4 bids left. I continued bidding and these 4 bids remained. They give you 4 BIDS which you can never use.If I use my 60 bids per day, these 4 bids remain. I can bid as much as I want and still have these 4 bids. Here is the catch: In order to get the refund, you must use these 4 bids, which is impossible. They have a live chat and one of their customer service reps told me that they would provide the refund as soon as I used the 4 remaining bids. She suggested that I bid on a $10 Walmart Gift Card to use the bids.I'm sure they cold have arranged for me to win that one, then they wouldn't have to refund the $150 because I would have won an auction. Most of their auction is auctioning off more bids. You can also purchase more bids.No need though, you will always have 4 left. Stay away from Swipbids.com, they are a total scam!

By the time I got done entering my credit card information I realized they took me for $15
I joined this site with the expectation that I was going to pay $1 for the sample bids to try it out. By the time I got done entering my credit card information I realized they took me for $150!! It is impossible to change the package to the $1 package. And they won't give me a refund. They keep giving me the run around. I believe this is also a scam in the fact that you can bid and bid but never really win. There are bidders that are on every single auction. Why is that fair? They should limit people to a few auctions at a time. They apparantly have a way that the site will just bid for you every so often. This site needs to be closed down! Don't fall for it! They are ripping people off!

scam
I visited the site just to check it out and wanted to view the page to see what it was about. I was asked for billing info and thought it was only necessary just in case I actually bid on something and won (maybe for payment, shipping and handling fees). I was billed $159 and I immediately did the online chat with a 'customer service rep' who tried to act like she didn't know what I was talking about. I explained that I wanted my money refunded because I had no intention of bidding on anything and that I only wanted to visit the page to see what it was about. She then stated that I would have to use the bids that the $159 purchased and if I didn't win a bid, I could request a refund by printing the form, completing it and mailing it back. This site is indeed a scam! Even when you try hard to get your money back they still come up with some kind of stupid reason that you have to do this or that in order to even request a refund. I don't have money to throw away and no one should be charged just for visiting a site to see what it's about. This site should be shut down and everyone's money should be refunded. When I looked at the winners listed it seemed that one individual was listed several times in a row and I find it a little hard to believe that one individual could win so many times in one day or over a course of two or three days which further leads me to believe that it is something screwy going on. The winner was probably someone at the company! Dirty DOGS...
The address is shown as being in Canada per info found out by others who have also been scammed by this company and the name attached is Jesse Willms. I never heard of him but apparently this is not the first time he has been involved in scamming people via the internet.

charges to Credit Card w/no commodity rec'd
Used E-Bay to log onto a company called "swipebids.com" for the purpose of bidding on products. The company charged an initial $150.00 for membership and so many initial bids. Once you accepted their so-called rules, you could bid on products. However, in order to bid you had to continue to purchase "bid points" which cost additional money which was collected through E-Bay.

The problem is that no matter how long you are online bidding, you never get the bid of the product you are bidding on. Each time you make a bid, you use up "bid dollars" the same as you use cash. Again, the problem is that you continue to purchase bids and never are awarded any products. The only thing you actually win bids on are more "bid dollars." This company refuses to refund any actual cash. They refuse to award any actual products. Yet, in order to bid on products you must remain online with the "Swipebids" website for numerous hours and use up purchased "bid dollars" without ever being awarded a product.

The company's ad and subsequent "come-on" ads all show how people are being awarded products at prices below market value through auctions. This is all a "SCAM" as no matter how long (I've been online and on the site for seventeen (17) hours and have never won an actual product bid.

I believe this website is a fraudulent site strictly to dupe people into joining and each month they charge your credit card an additional $50.00 for a non product.

How do I get my money back as I have closed the initial credit card and been issued another card/number which "Swipebids-Ebay" do not have access to?
