Swisa Beauty
I was at the Dallas Market when I was introduced to Swisa Beauty. There was of course, some high pressure sales going on but in the middle of it all, I noticed on the box on the list of ingredients that their products contained Methylparaben. I told the sales perso, "T" that I didn't use methylparabens on my skin and she proceeded to tell me that there were two types of methylparabens and that Swisa products contained the "good" kind. Since I was in a different city from where I live and didn't have access to a computer or internet, I could not look this up to make sure it was true. I ended up buying the products and when I got home and looked on the internet I found that I had been lied to. There are not two types of methylparabens. Only one kind, the bad kind, the kind that can cause cancer among other things. Well, I called "T" and told her that what she told me was not true. She said that she could not refund my money that I woud have to call the Swisa office to do that. I called the home office and of course, got the run around. I talked w/"K" was told that they would have to speak to someone else and that they would call me back that day. Of course, no one called me back. I gave them a week and called back and talked to "M" who said that she would have to talk to the chemist or some such nosense. I got a call back asking me what the problem was again. I told her it was the methylparabens and that I was told there were two different kinds and that that was a lie. I said I would not have bought the products had I known. I do not use methylparabens on my skin. She said someone would get back to me. No one did. I called again and taked to "K" again and was told I should send in an email and that it should be sent to her but she would send it to the "higher ups". Well, I got a reply from "K" who proceeded to tell me that the FDA says that Methylparabens are safe and to read the attached article she attached. I could not believe it. I emailed back that this was not a debate on whether Methylparbens are safe or not safe, it is that I was lied to. LIED TO about the ingredient! Then I get another email from them stating that they can't take it back as it would have to go back to the person who sold it to me. Funny since I was told that any refunds had to go through their office and now they are trying to say just the opposite. Who the heck runs this company???? I am so frustrated and upset w/this company. You know bad publicity will get you in the end Swisa!
