n9t showing for interview
I was scheduled an interview with the new district manager on 7th of May and when I arrived, I was told his plane had been delayed. Then I was scheduled for an interview on May 11th, and the district manager did not show. I have worked for Taco Bell for at least 14 years and I want to know what the pr9blem is! This is no way to run a business, especially when you are new. I am a very hard worker, and want to know the reasoning behind this.
Thank you for your response in advance.

Terrible Service
Well this is kind of an interesting situation but never the less irritating. My birthday was on April 12th and I had called a few days before that to check what tacobell does for birthdays and was informed that I would receive a free combo meal. A group of us probably about 40 of us arrived at tacobell on the 12th to eat and I was the last one in line and was talking to some friends, so all my friends bought there food first and then when I got to the front the cashier told me they did no such thing and told me that they don't do anything for birthdays. I asked to speak to the manager and the cashier went back to an office and said that he was right and that they dont offer anything. So after all my friends had already purchased there food I get the shaft I was absolutely furious and the guy did not seem to care in the least bit. Well now taco bell has lost 40 customers and I will continue to try to ruin there name because of the bad service that I received.

Order issues & Unfriendly GM
On 4-2-10 at 4:13 p.m., we stopped at the 2 in 1 (KFC/Taco Bell) in Mt. Airy. This unit has historically had issues ongoing with running out of food, slow service, dirty store, and food quality but today I learned that the problem stems from the General Manager of the store. Mr. D. Henry compounded an issue I had by not only not apologizing but for then debating with me over whether he did or not. His own crew was more sincere and apologetic about the multitude of issues I had experienced than their own GM.
We entered the drive thru and found hornets swirling around the speaker. As we were in a convertible, this presented a problem. We waited and waited but apparently the drive thru employee did not hear us. We finally drove up to the window after waiting for 3 minutes to be greeted. We ordered and drove away only to discover there were a few problems .
1) wrong items - ordered a T3 and a T8 and received and were charged for 2 T3's
2) no straws
3) crunchy taco broken
4) beef greasy and dripped out sides of tacos (needed to be stirred more frequently)
5) taco supreme - had only 2 chunks of tomato on it. It used to call for 1/2 ounce but amount on it would not have come close to a 1/4 oz.
6) no apology from manager when presented with the problem. When I did not hear one, I asked him why he did not even bother to apologize after all our issues. He said he had when we walked up. I said I did not hear him. He argued with me that he already had apologized. I said, "You are right. I am wrong as your customer!" Back in the days, managers were trained to at least try and respect the customer and apologize multiple times since it is a proven fact when people are angry they do not hear just one. In either case, he had the chance and did not take it. His cashier said how sorry she was for all of our trouble.
If this is the man who sets the example in his store, then that explains why all the preceeding issues occurred. This lack of attention to all the areas of restaurant management result in his failing operation. I plan to write the corporation but they did not even bother to respond the last time I wrote to them so they may not care either.

Rude Service
Today I went to Taco Bell on South Irby St. in Florence, SC. I walked in to buy a soft taco shell and when I pay I do not get a receipt which is fine. I proceed to go sit down and talk to one of the managers on break who I've known for years. As I'm talking to him I get thirsty so I walk up to the register to buy a drink nobody is up there so I grab a small drink since they are right there. I know that was a mistake. I fill up the cup and walk back to my seat to continue my conversation with my friend who is a manager at this store. While I'm sitting there another manager walks up and demands that I pay for the drink I just stole according to her as she yells at me in front of the whole store. I tell her I clearly wasn't stealing as I went back to sit down and didn't run out the door. I ask how much do I owe she says 2 dollars. I then pay her and she puts the money in her pocket then walks away. When my friend was off break I go up to the register and ask for my receipt and change as a small drink is only $1.08. She precedes to yell at me to leave her store or she will call the cops to arrest me for stealing the drink. I leave so she could calm down then call the store 30 min later to ask if she was ready to give me my change and she just hangs up on me. I could understand if I went up there took the drink then as I was leaving the store to accuse me of stealing, but I was sitting with a manager waiting for him to go back up there so he could ring up the drink.

rude
i went through the drive thru after i got off work about 10:30 pm as i do many nights mainly because it is the only thing still open.i got my food and started home . iget to the last bite and bit down on a screw. which disgusted me.so i called the manager to explain what happened.she proceeded to tell me that she was on the line all night so she doesnt know how i got a screw in my food.i felt as if she was implying that i was lying. ithen told if i did not live 30 min. away i would bring it back and show her.she simply said well i dont know how to handle this you will have to call back tomarrow.she never appologized.she didnt offer to replace my food she didnt ask if iwas okay. i have worked in the food idustry all my life.i was even a fastfood manager for 6 years.this was the worst way possible to handle this situation. when i did try to call the next day i was told the general manager was not in. i feel like im just gettting the runaround here.some responsability needs to be claimed here. ihave contacted the corprate office via email. im still waiting for a response.

Why can't they get my food Order right?
Why can't they get your food order right at Taco Bell. We have 3 Taco Bells in our area, I stopped going to one
just because they NEVER get your order correct + when you go thru the drive thru, the speaker that they talk to
you, you can't understand them, they sound like the teacher off of Charlie Brown WWWWHHAAA-WWWHAAA-
WWWHHAA, when I had to ask "What did you say" several times, I finally just drove to the window to tell them my
order, which she didn't like, I tried to tell her that I couldn't understand her, that made her even more mad,
by the time I left, I wasn't for sure if I wanted to eat my food or not, if you know what I mean, we love Taco Bell,
but they never get our order correct, ANY time we ask for no sour cream, guess what you always get sour cream,
Tonight I made a special point to go inside explain to the young cashier about my problem with the other store, not getting my
order correct, she says not a problem here, I put my order in # 0214 at Taco Bell # 020134 tonight, I hear her tell the person making our order NO sour cream anywhere near this order, and the guy repeats it back to her, I think, Cool, this is my new Taco Bell, even if it is farther away from my house, I get home and my son and I dive in, what the F___, SOUR CREAM,
this is just stupid, I don't get it, do I have to go in the back and make the Taco's myself, o.k. that's it, I'm so smart,
from know on I'll just but the ingredients at the store and make the taco's myself, problem solved for me, maybe not
for Taco Bell, if more people encounter the same problems maybe they'll do the same, Sorry Taco Bell, you made me do it.

RUDE
My husband and I went in to this TACO BELL, placed our order. When we got our order we did not get one of the items that we ordered and paid for. this item was listed on our receipt. My husband took tray and all back up to the counter. No one was there to assist him. I noticed that the young lady who had taken our order was over in the cornor of the dining area. She was bent over a table and it looked like she was kissing a some young man who had been and was still sitting there when we left. He gave her what looked like a valentines day card. At that time I hollered over to her saying ''excuse me mam'' and nodded that my husband was waiting to be waited on. She returned with a not so nice look on her face. Another lady working in the back finally brought my husband the cheese roll up that had been missing from our order. I was shocked to see her hanging over the young man, wondering if he was going to be in there the whole time she was working. The young lady working for store number 024684 a d employee number 7880 should be made aware that work and pleasure do not go together.

Food Quality
Emailed this to the Taco Bell Customer Service Department today:
Issue #1: rice in a a Beef Fiesta Taco Salad is nasty; I usually remember to request "no rice" but today I forgot. It appears that rice is cheaper right now than lettuce, because there was a bunch of rice, and not even a handful of lettuce.
Issue #2: The tortilla shell/bowl is obviously smaller, both in diameter and in depth. Ergo, less meal in the bowl. I guess this store hasn't run out of the big clamshell to-go boxes yet. This poor little salad floated all over the place in its plastic swimming pool. In addition to going to the smaller clamshells so we poor customers are fooled into thinking nothing has changed, how about going a little green? Maybe a carboard to-go box that fits the product, instead of the extra 2 inches of plastic that towers over the poor salad?
Issue #3: The little red tortilla strips used to be provided in a separate container; now the salad comes with a few of the strips sprinkled on the salad, whether the customer wants them or not. I happen to like them; however, by delivering the salad with the strips already on it, you accomplish 2 things; you get to cut back on the amount & save a fraction of a penny, but they are soggy after sitting on the salad for a few minutes.
Issue #4: The amount of guacamole received in a portion control cup has (sadly) always varied by the time of the day, the employee assigned to the task, and the attitude of said employee, but the price gouge was always a quarter; today, I got an estimated tablespoon of guacamole, but the price has risen to 30 cents.
In our current economy, do you think it's wise to drive away your current customer base by lowering quality & raising prices? I've been eating at your chain of restaurants in several different states over the past 30 years. I have a restaurant within walking distance of my office now, and had a habit of eating there a couple of times a week, sometimes with my son (he always orders twice what I do). I have grown less satisfied over the past year, and find that I now eat there maybe once a month. Did you really mean for that to happen? Did you really think that your regular customers wouldn't notice?
*******Doubtful I'll get an answer to this, but it was nice to vent just the same.*****

Food Poisoning
Was hospitalized for 3 days after eating at this Taco Bell!
Ate here on July 13, and was hospitalized July 14 for food poisoning. The management was rude and treated me horribly when I called to get owner/insurance information for the hospital bills. Have been getting run around from insurance company. Won't even pay hospital stay. Steer clear and head for better quality and responsible business practices elsewhere!!!
