I didn't sign up for Talent 6. My aspiring daughter did with her credit card we gave her for her college expenses. Can't get them to stop charging us the $34.90 each month. My daughter called and cancelled twice with them, but never bothered to remind her parents. Checked the 2009 year end summary statement and they billed us every month.

So, lesson #1. Don't give your kid a credit card for college.

Lesson #2. Watch your credit card bill each month and scrutinize it for a rip off company by the name of Talent 6

I wsa searching on a Sacramento Jobs website and saw an ad from Talent 6 for movie extras at $100-$300 per day. I had done this work years ago and thought that since I'm retired, let's do it again. I called the telephone number listed and was conected to a telemarketer who tried to sign me up for a $45.00 fee to post my profile.

They advertised as a hiring employer and then when they get you on the telephone, they try to get you to pay up front for their "service."

I learned a long time ago in the entertainment business that you NEVER pay for representation up front. These people are just a front for a ripp off add posting website.

So here's what I found on Talent 6. I was casting for a show ( a Live Event). I wanted to see a review of the show I did so I typed it in on 'Search' on the Internet. On one of the search results, the Talent 6 website popped up. I went to it and I saw the casting call that I wrote for Craigslist posted on their sight. It was very amusing to me so for giggles I decided to try and submit for it and it brought me to the page where I have to sign up for a subscription.

I am not a member of Talent 6 but this told me a lot about the company. Basically they are taking casting calls from 'free' websites like Craigslist and trying to pass them off on their website, but for a fee.

They are basically scamming hungry actors and trying to sell them 'free' information. I would be cautious if you plan on subscribing with their services.
