In 2007 I bought a used motorcycle from Tallahassee Power Sports. All seemed well and 17 months later I traded it in on a brand new model. At the time of the trade in the touring package for the new motorcycle was marked $1800 which was to include a windshield, engine guards, saddle bags and passenger backrest and all mounting hardware for these items. In addition I purchased aftermarket driver and passenger seats to accommodate the driver back rest. These additional purchases totaled $700. The sales contract was a preprinted from ran through a printed to print my personal and sale information on it. The lines never line up so you cannot read it. I rewrote the entire contract by hand so I could match up the preprinted sections with the printed information entered. As it turned out, Tallahassee Power Sports tried to short me $1000 on my trade in. In addition that $1800 touring pack was charged out at $3000. When it was all said and done a motorcycle priced at $14, 600 + an $1800 touring package and a $700 seat cost me $20, 000. Doesn’t add up, does it. ($14, 600 + $1800 + $700 = $17, 100). To add to all of this, the factory seat that was on the bike when I bought it… Nobody seems to know what happened to it. So in addition to being over charged almost $3000, a seat that retails for around $500 just vanished into thin air.
I would strongly recommend avoiding contact of any kind with Tallahassee Power Sports in Tallahassee, FL. This include the second location, still know to many as The Cycle Shop.
