I have made several tanzanite purchases, from Jewelry Television. I fell for their host's speal about top gem color only to find out from my local GIA that they were only considered Good in color and what I paid for them was what I could have purchased them for anywhere!

Please do not fall for their selling techniques.

I also found out, from my local GIA, that top grade tanzanite only goes for $800.00 to $1, 000.00 a carat and not the $2.000.00 and more that they claim it sells for. The ones I purchased from them only appraised for around $190.00 to $200.00 a carat and was only one step up from comercial grade, which is the lowest grade of Tanzanite.

I trusted them to be honest and have paid for my mistake, as I waited too long to get the appraisals and now am stuck with non-returnable items. Get a GIA to take a look ASAP, to anything you buy from them.
