Fraud
11/20/10-Purchased 20" Dynacraft bicycle.Bike was poor quality.Required bearings within 90 days.Called Target on 2/26/11.Store claimed 90 days over, would not refund or exchange.I did not return within 90 days because I was refused refund on prior defective items-Cust Serv claimed must be in new condition with original packaging, which is impossible for defective items. No posted return policy in store for defective items-Cust Service lied about Target return policy for defective items.Since Target refused in past to refund defective items within 90 days, I waited until 96 days to complain to store manager about poor quality of bicycle.Target refused to refund since after 90 days.2/26/11-Manager Tim said bring bike to store, maybe mechanic can fix.Mechanic did nothing, said he was told not to fix bikes after 90 days.Called mfr. Dynacraft. They sent bearings under parts warranty.I Repaired bike.Again called Dynacraft on 3/31/11-front brakes bent, rear tire and inner tube damaged.Dynacraft sent brakes under parts warranty.I am not bicycle mechanic.Bike very poor quality.Keeps breaking.Other people posted review that bike hardly lasts 3 months.I've had many bicycles, never one of such poor quality.I want a refund or exchange for better quality bicycle, and Target must post store policy for defective items and stop lying to customers that defective items must be in new condition with all original packaging. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT TARGET AGAIN. WALMART HAS MUCH BETTER RETURN POLICY.

Store Employee
I was shopping in target one day. I was looking at something and when I turned around I accidently hit the clerk with my cane which was sticking out if the cart and clerk in the store stated that I don't need to shop in this store they should not let blacks in the store. I did say I was sorry but he got mad. I don't know if I would ever step foot back in the store because I see that African Americans are not treated fairly.

Unfair treatment
LETS ORGANIZE A UNION FOR TARGET EMPLOYEES. TARGET IS FORCING "BEST PRACTICE" AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THAT IS. THE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT TREATED FAIRLY DURING ANY WAGE REVIEWS - THE MOST YOU CAN GET IS 8 CENTS AND THAT'S IT. THE ONLY OTHER WAY TO GET MORE WAGE IS TO BE AN ASS KISSER AND I REFUSE TO KISS ANYONES. THE EMPLOYEES ARE PULLED IN SO MANY DIRECTIONS DURING ONE WORK SHIFT THAT THEY ARE SO BURNT OUT BY THE END OF THEIR SHIFT. THEY ARE KEPT LATE AT NIGHT - AFTER THE STORE CLOSES TO DO CLEANING AND STRAIGHTENING OF THE STORE. IF YOU CALL IN FOR YOUR SHIFT - EVEN WITH A SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION - YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE CRAP THE NEXT DAY IF YOU GO TO WORK. I PERSONALLY HAVE HAD MANAGEMENT IGNORE ME AND IF I SAY SOMETHING THEY WILL NOT RESPOND. I AM SO SICK OF BEING TREATED LIKE I AM A TIMECLOCK NUMBER. ALL TARGET CARES ABOUT ARE PROFITS AND TRYING TO MAKE THEIR IMAGE LOOK BETTER THAN WHAT IT IS BY DONATING THINGS TO CHARITIES. IN FACT, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM AN ORGANIZATION ONE DAY AND FORWARDED THE MESSAGE TO A MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT - THE RESPONSE WAS "OH, (SO & SO) WANTS ANOTHER DONATION." WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THAT? LETS ORGANIZE A UNION AND GET WHAT WE'RE INTITLED TO. I NEED YOUR HELP - LETS GET IT TOGETHER FELLOW TEAM MEMBERS AND KICK SOME TARGET BUTT!
TARGETS MOTTO IS "EXPECT MORE...PAY LESS" - AND THAT'S JUST WHAT THEY DO, EXPECT MORE FROM THEIR EMPLOYEES AND PAY THEM LESS...

Unfair returns
I made a purchase from target and took the item back 2 days later to exchange. My original receipt was unavailable at the time of the exchange so I thought credit would be issued. Well my purchase prices was 24.99 and the return credit that i got was 17.00. the item was unused and still new. But this is the policy that Target uses. Well Target will never get any money from me anymore. I also recommend that no one shop at a store that does not honor its own products.

Poor customer service
Don't go to Target. The managers don't care about customers
only if they are loaded and are high profile people. I had
some bad experiences in a Target where a tv actress tried to kick me
out of the store because I knew who she was ( I sure don't
like her). I complained about her to a store manager and
he didn't do anything to help me, he took the girl's side
instead. I can't believe Target takes sides with the rich
and the celebrities and don't help average people. Besides, they don't
even have security people anywhere either.

Human Resources
Thank you for the rapid response. I appreciate the time and effort that were given to me during the interviewing process. However, I do feel strong that discrimination was involved in this process. I have a family member who also works at this store. I know in my heart the decision not to hire me was not basis on my experiences but rather on the interviewer’s feeling toward my daughter. There has been an unsettling friction between Monica and my daughter and she let her personal feelings interfere with her professional judgment.

I knew Target gave three (3) interviews if there was a possibilities of employment. When I asked when Target would be in contact with me again - Monica automatically stated "a decision will be made and you will know something by the beginning of next week." I asked if the other person who interviewed me would be a part of the decision process, and she said yes. At that moment, I knew I did not have the job. Monica's mind was made up the minute she saw my name. Thanks for taking the time to read my concern, and at this point I am very thankful I was not hired by Target because if this is a reflection of equal equality, and how your management team response professionally, your problems are going to get bigger. Young, untrained managers with personalities disorders should receive more training, and should be analyzes as to how strong they are when it comes to conflict and resolutions. (I have a full-time job, so I am not bitter because of this -- it's just sad to know this type of practice could possibly be destroying someone else live that really needs employment.) In the future you could possibly see people who are treated with such unprofessionalism do something to correct this problem legally. However I can say this, there was one very strong leader on the interview team who should leadership skills, commitment, dedication, and she has history and a foundation with Target. Shauna, she was well seasoned, and she knew what she was doing. She was not a person whohad "just got a job to have one, until something came along better." She actually cared and you could see it every action she took. A copy of this email has also been forward to the corporate office just in case Monica gets this email, and tries to delete it.

Thanks
Robin

Illegal actions
I bought a Nintendo DS for my grandson last September. I bought the 3 yr. extended warranty because I was told I could just return the item to the store if anything happened to it and they would replace it. Well, recently the left hinge broke that holds the screen on. I took it back to the store and was told I would need to send it in to their warranty department and that they would send it off to Nintendo to be fixed, but that it was probably not going to be covered because this is not considered "normal wear and tear". I spoke to the Manager on Duty who said there is nothing he can do, but gave me the customer service 800#. I called and was told the only thing they could do was file a complaint and use this complaint to train their assiciates not to sell their warranties in this manner. They will not honor what I was told and replace the item.

The entire reason I bought the extended warranty was because I was told I would not have to send it anywhere and that they covered it if it were to break - period! I have purchased other large electronics at Target and have always purchased the extended warranties, but now I am afraid I have been taken for a ride on all of these. This is a total scam and shoulod not be legal! Isn't this consumer fraud?

Return of Item With Receipt Within 3 Days
I was a regular shopper at the Dickson City, PA Target Store until recently. I attempted to return a lucite bracelet with rhinestones after 3 days with the receipt after one of the rhinestones fell out. I was told by Customer Service that since they did not have an identical bracelet in stock, they could not match it, thus, they could not refund my money, nor give me a store receipt. My receipt listed "lucite bracelet" @ $9.99, and the other items were either clothing or brass jewelry so I pointed out that obviously this was the item in question.
The CS person told me that they didn't know if this bracelet in question was indeed a Target item or another store's item. Mind you, I was wearing the other brass jewelry I had purchased at the time. I asked for her superior, who explained the same rules. Then asked for the Jewelry Department Supervisor. That supervisor told me they didn't keep any inventory paperwork and an independent stocker came in on "some day during the week" and "perhaps if I was lucky, that independent would again stock that bracelet and I could get my money back." I asked for the store manager. Along came a woman about 28 years old. She went on to explain the same rules again.
Now I had 4 women staring at me, arms locked across their chests, defying me to say anything else. "What is the CS number to call in corporate?" I said. The store manager gave me the number.
I called. The man there told me to hand the phone to the store manager where she actually argued with him! I had put my cell on speakerphone, so now other customers were listening to this hilarious and ludicrous scenerio. She was refusing him when he was telling her to give the customer her money back. Finally, the CS worker took it upon herself to give me my money back quietly (probably to get rid of me and the growing crowd that was listening to the speakerphone).
He asked to speak to me then. He gave me a ticket # and asked me to call Corporate the next day. I called and had to speak to two people before I reached a supervisor that would pay any attention to this lack of customer service. Amanda at CS Corporate supposedly is turning this matter over to the executive that handles the Dickson City store so that he can review his managerial employees.
Moral of this story? Do not buy costume jewelry from Target Stores if you ever think you will return it. Why? They won't take it back because they think you are returning someone else's merchandise. Don't bother saving your receipt. They don't honor it anyway.
Right now I'm collecting my old (up to 90 days receipts) Target merchandise that I can return and taking a trip. I've had it with them. That "rule" just pushed me over the edge.

Target does a lot of sales preventives for the customers
I wanted to purchase a wicker rocking chair at a Target store in the Cincinnati Market, they had the floor model that they would not sell, I checked all the other stores same thing none in stock. Store will not order one for you. You have to go to the website and find it. Here is where the problem arrives, the shipping charges for 100 pounds is $385.00 which cost more than the chairs. Are they insane? Their customer service sucks, they cannot adjust the shipping charges, will not order anything for you to go to the local store and when you call customer service you speak to someone who cannot speak English clearly. Shop Sears they are much better with servicing the needs of the customers. Target does a lot of sales preventives for the customers.

Scam
Target gave $10 gift cards when you spent over $100 on Black Friday. My total was $129 and I returned 1 item for a store credit only to discover they kept $1.08 of the $12.99.

Today they said their ad had a disclaimer that they would do this. To me this is fraud. I was still over the $100. Think of it, if they do this to a million customers nationwide it is big money.

I won't shop at Target again. I spent $700 dollars there last week and they are getting it all back!

I will also follow up with the Indiana Attorney General's office.
