Gary Rose, owner of Tarzan Trees said he was a certified arborist. I asked him to remove one large tree, remove some arborvitae stumps, and trim a spruce tree. He gave me a price and asked for a deposit which I gave him. I should have been suspicious when I went on-line and noticed he had cashed the check within minutes of my giving it to him. We talked about what day I would like it done and he knew I was wanting a day that I would be at home. He was going to call to confirm a day but instead he and his "crew" came a day that I was at work and came by later to collect the check. I had only just got home and hadn't looked over the job thoroughly and as he was in a hurry, gave him a check. Well of course that was the wrong thing for me to do. I should have looked at the work and had him finish the job before I gave him the check. His quote said "Remove 1, Cut stack wood, Cut Arborvitae - stack - spray, Trim Spruce - Haul Brush". He did remove the tree, meaning cut it down in large pieces but did not stack. He did cut the Arborvitae stumps but no stacking again. The Spruce trimming was a total mess. It appeared to me that Gary Rose and crew knew absolutely nothing about plants and trees, only chainsaws. They left cigarette butts and oil cans for me to clean up. I called to complain but it went to his voicemail, I left messages but never heard back from him. I was very disappointed by the job that they did and recommend that everyone stay away from Gary Rose of Tarzan Trees Inc.
