Poor Customer Care
Hi,
This is a complaint and a message to all newcomers about the shoddy customer care and redressal mechanism of Tata Indicom Broadband service. My broadband has been down for close to a month now and despite repeated calls to their customer care, no one has cared to even contact me, leave apart resolving the issue. This is a classic case of shoddy customer service of this service provider. ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO PLAN TO TAKE A FRESH TATA INDICOM BROADBAND connection should keep this point in mind that this group cares a dime about customer service and it may take you ages to get things resolved.

Not DeActive the Number After Complaint

today morning near about at 8:00 AM. i have lost my mobile. i have already inform tata indicom customer care to de active the no. but they refuse to do that.
i here by declare that for any misuse from that no. i will not be responsible.

No service, but constant harrassment!!!
I, like a moron, chose Tata Indicom (Bangalore) of all companies, as my Internet Service Provider and have regretted the same since day one! I signed up for their dial-up Internet connection service on the 5th of December. I was told that I would have instant access to the internet from that very day!
However I have never been able to connect to the internet, not even for a minute!I called their customer care staff, who i might as well add, are a complete bunch of idiots. After making numerous calls to them over a period of one month, they finally sense a problem and say they'll have someone come over to my house to fix it. Needless to say, that never happened. I was already fed up by then, yet i made some more calls. Then these morons tell me that the modem i was given was faulty!!! This, mind you, is told to me after more than a month! The fools at Tata Indicom didn't even have the courtesy to help me out (after all it was their mistake), instead, ordering me to go to their office on Richmond Road and get another modem.
When i went to that office, they firstly treated me like dirt, making me wait for over 2 hours with absolutely no one willing to help me! then when i tell them I've come to exchange a modem for something that works, they ask me 'Who told you to come here?' ... 'We cannot exchange a modem just like that!!!'
that got to me and i started yelling, which is what i should have done in the first place. Then they offer me a chair and check out my faulty modem and replace it, telling me that the new one would work by midnight for sure. This was in mid-January. It is now the end of April, yet i have received no service, my internet still does not work and I'm guessing the 'new' modem i got is also faulty! I'm fed up of dealing with these morons who i think should all be shot!
I obviously refused to pay the bills that piled up over the months for a service that i never received. Religiously, the staff at Tata Indicom call every month to ask me to pay up. They're efficient when they call asking for money, but couldn't care less about whether their customers receive their service or not! Every month, i repeat my problem to them, they say 'OK' and hang up the phone!!! i was even told in February that my internet connection would be cut!!! i said go ahead, what connection they were talking about i don't know!!!
now they send me a letter threatening legal action if i don't pay up!I'm ready and willing to counter charge and sue them for damages!
i would welcome any advice on the same!

on 13 feb i called customer care and i was being commited by mrs. sanita that ou can activate NORTH CORIDOR PACK in which you can call S.T.D. to particular stations at rs. 0.50 per minute but they didnt activate my scheme...

Plug to surf Device
Hi,
I had brought 1 plug to surf Tata indicom device, actually i needed a plug to surf one which could be put in my laptop and inject in it.
The tata shop guy told me that that is not available, you buy this and we will exchange this when it comes.
Then later the sales guy left his job from there, but now the TATA cust support, says we could not change it as it is already brought.

I had been asking then many people to get me exchanged the modem type, but ended in vail. If you people could help me in it. I will be crore time thankful..

abusive language used by customer care representative

One daythat is on 30-03- 08call came from tata's agency a girl spoke from number:01165351283 spoke to me that pay your bill .i saidher that i will pay it myself . then after that she used abusive language.i cut the phone then after 10 mins she called me again and started speaking abusive language. SO some action should be taken towards her otherwise i m gona go to consumer court.my contact number is 9212300603
so revert me as soon as possible

Please never use TATA USB Internet surfing device!
The most worst service I have got from TATA, the most worst experience. I have purchased a USB Internet Surfing KIT from TATA on Friday, 7th March 2008 and it has not been activated from remote server (Error 721) and I have no option other then to go to consumer forum or police complaints as the Sales Man and the manager of the Kalkaji TATA shop is not co-operating (Mr. Ajit - 9212036870 & Mr Akhilesh - 9212036871).

I have sincere advice not to the people reading this complaint that please never purchase this product and DO NOT BELIEVE ON TATA INDICOM DEVICES.

Scam billing!
I got a Tata Indicom Walky postpaid connection 2 months ago. It worked well for the 1st month. Suddenly last month, i started facing the problem of calls dropping. I raised the complaint to the customer care. At that time, my unbiLled amount was about 200 Rs. Next day it became Rs. 2000 and very next day it became Rs. 3500. I wasn't making any calls through my telephone for these 2-3 days. Surely there was some cloning problem. They barred my outgoing calls saying that I have crossed the credit limit. Inspite of several complaints raised, the company was adamant that I had to pay the amount. Otherwise they wont start the outgoing call service. After 7 days, they disconnected my line. Now after the bill is generated, it could be clearly seen that it is definitely some bill cloning problem. On approaching the Tata Indicom office, they accepted their fault now and assured us that the new bill will be sent within 1 week and the phone service will be resumed.
