Tata Indicom is the worst service provider in India!
I have purchased a handset from Tata Indicom under corporate benefits on Aug 2007. I gifted it to my wife on Aug 4th on her Birthday. Since that day the phone is not working(activated). I called their customer care and corporate care, mailed them, faxed them but still the services on my phone are not restored.

Poor service!
Here is my experience with Tata Indicom who claims that they are very good at their services. I have taken a Tata Indicom prepaid broadband connection in Bangalore, Jayanagar II block Ashoka Pillar Road, India 2 months back (in Aug'2007).
During that time we asked the marketing representative that If we shift from here will your company will activate our service at new location. Representative told they are number one in broadband connection and across all bangalore location they have the network.
Then I shifted my residence from Jayangar II block to Ist block which is 500 meters away from my old residence. I have raised a shifting request but they told they do not provide service in that area so it is not feasible to provide the connection.
Then I have asked them to refund my unutilized money as you do not provide service in the current area. In turn I am getting reply that it's a prepaid account so Tata Indicom can't refund the amount to me so better I need to use their services. I do not understand if they do not provide service how can I utilize the amount and secondly this will expire after 60 days. Tata Indicom makes their customer fool in the first place. While the marketing representative comes he will give some picture and then after taking the connection you will get something else.
Anyway Good luck to Tata Indicom for their sincere customer service.
I hope they should learn swim before the ship sinks.

Bad product knowledge
The customer care of tata indicom is of no use. No one knows about their product fully. For example when I enquired about the std card named as india card launched by tata indicom was not known to the executives of customer care.
Even the customer care lines are not proper. As the voice says "Please hold while we connect to one of our representatives" the phone becomes unattended.
Haier handset never displays battery full even after charging it for the whole night.

Poor service!
I have been a customer of Tata Indicom "Always On" postpaid plan for one year now. And in that course of time, have had a variety of complaints, which i have listed below (latest complaint first)
1. My connection is currently inactive, and customer service cannot tell me why. The bill due date is 20th Sept, and i have already paid my bill, yet connection is inactive. Complaint has been lodged 2 days ago, no response.
2. As per my usage log, i have downloaded 3600MB of data on a single day, which is impossible. Hence i can conclude that someone (if not the company itself) is bumping up usage to increase revenue.
3. Last month i had downtime of more than 7 days. they have given me a credit of 36 rupees.
4. I have lodged several complaints in the past, none of which have been proactively addressed, and i spend more time and money following it up
5. Billing - Their broadband bill structure is not only confusing, but also prone to changes, and so i have a feeling i have been overcharged several times.
6. Extremely poor customer service: which has no technical access, such as releasing an account on confirmation of payment. Plus they can hardly communicate properly. They also are mostly rude and uncooperative
Going by these, i am yet to figure out a better alternative. BSNL seems much better. But it is sad that TATA is associated with such a pathetic quality of service. Obviously noone is looking at customer satisfaction as a key service differentiator in that company. I would welcome suggestions as to how i go ahead and formally take the above issues up against the company

Fraud billing on voice portal 12900!
My telephone of TataIndicom has been fraudulently been billed Rs450/- for the use of Voice Portal 12900!! This is a fraud and the Tata Indicom Call center supervisor Mr Arvind and the Call Center operator Ms Anuradha made claims that i have made these calls to 12900, however they are not obliged to provide proof of these calls being made. I requested that immediately the service to 12900 be blocked, they say it cannot be done by them @#$%!! This is a real scam by the house of TATA whom I have trusted so far!

Truly frustrating!
I have a Tata Indicom number. This number is no better than making an occasional outgoing and sometimes receiving incoming calls. Rest of the times, people dialing my number keep getting voice message "this route is busy, please try after sometime" or "the cell has been switched off", which is ridiculous. There is no problem with my handset. Many a times, it's only after meeting someone that I come to know he had been trying my number for last couple of days but couldn't get through. As a result, I have missed some important calls and appointments.
The only number you can be sure of to get connected, without fail, is the recharge number. Customer care number is mostly busy (either they are not willing to take calls or they have too many complaints to handle, which again is a reflection of their services). This clearly indicates their disinclination towards maintaining quality services. All they are bothered about is making money without any accountability towards their customers.
I wish they look into these issues without delay.

Worst ISP provider on the face of Earth!
I stay in Indiranagar HAL IInd stage, please dont even harbor thoughts of taking up a broadband connection with TATA indicom, they have pathetic service and speeds too... All your complaints fall to deaf ears... and a service personnel would never visit your place!!!
I terminated my connection after two months (my connection was up for 20 days)... Boycott tata indicom!!!

Handset problem
Hi, I am Tata indicom (Walky-prepaid) user. I have been using this, but now my set is not working properly.... and its been long time i have been facing this problem. I have tried to contact from where i have bought this but that shop is closed.... and also i m not able to contact your customer care people... I have no complaints with the service but the handset is not working fine...and i m facing problems.

Irresponsible Working Team
I am Kameswara Rao.T, TATA Indicom Postpaid customer of 92462072054. I was disconnected this connection 16th, March 2007and submitted the disconnection request form at Ammeer Pet, Hyderabad Branch on 16 th March 2007 and that time only I paid all the previous bills.
But the TATA Indicom people didn't disconnect the connection and they are keeping on sending bills for 3 more months later. I didn't pay these bills.
Regarding this I went to Public office, HYDERABAD last two times and complained. But I am not satisfied with their argument that they said Re-Activation team called me long back and they offered me new plan so that I said them to Re-activate my connection again. That's not TRUE because from that day one my connection is in the same plan It never changed (Please check Plans history of 9246207204) If any TATA Indicom Team have access and do the need full.

Poor after sale service!
My name is kuldeep sharma. I'd taken one tata prepaid connection with KYOCERA mobile handset in last dec'07. My handset is not working at all and when i tried to tell this to the my dealer in goes his response was very bad. He stated that we are not responsible for any malfunctions after sale. Then i searched for mobile service center i gave them my handset once and they returned me after two days saying that there is no problem in hand set. within 10 days i found that phone speaker was not working. I gave it back to them for service and i am now getting responses that spare is not available (Since last 10 days). Still waiting for there mercy. I will strongly recommend everybody NOT TO TAKE TATA SERVICES!!! VERY BAD!
