Wrong billing inspite of repeated requests
I was shocked to know that tata indicom is closing there value pack of free incoming while roaming... I purchased a connection under the scheme Do More 900 (ARP) in December 2006 and sudden withdrawal of this service is going to land me up in problem... when i asked for the reason from the customer care they were not able to satisfy me.

I have taken the connection for the purpose of roaming only and given advance rent for TWO YEARS. Now the company has asked to withdraw this facility which is not fair. They are breaking the contract. no such condition was there when they give the connection.

Also they are sending the wrong bill since Jan'2007 not making the correction in their record inspite of repeated requests.

Customer is KING... GOD KNOWS - about Tata Indicom what will happen?

Pathetic postpaid connection
I bought this business plan in the last week of Dec,06 and since then I was on roaming for the full the month of January.

My phone was disconnected in the first month of buying the connection ,without any intimation for disconnection or for exceeding credit limit of Rs 2500 .

Not only this I was also told to make immediate payment on roaming while there is no option of making cash payments apart from oxygen counters which takes 48 hours to transfer the payment that too online.

Also, welcome tone feature of tata indicom sucks...its just a misleading service and customer is harassed n forced to listen to those crapy songs set on their server to just select a 10 rs. song. He is made to pay hundreds of songs where the call rate is 6 rs. per minute.

I have approached their customer care but have not got any compensation for their poor service.

Tata Indicom customer care is useless there is no synchronization between their marketing and customer care dept. I want to discontinue their for which also I have been told to fill up the forms and visit their customer care centre which means additional expense of customer on their faulty systems.

Earlier I have used Airtel, their service rocks...

Sudden withdrawal of value added service
I was shocked to know that tata indicom is closing there value pack of free incoming while roaming... I purchased 2 phones of tata indicom due to this scheme only... And sudden withdrawal of this service is going to land me up in problem... When i asked for the reason from the customer care they said what can u do by knowing this ridiculous... At least a roper reason should be given... If you are closing this scheme for the new connection it should remain active for the users who are already using it... What kind of postpaid connection is it??? In postpaid connection when u subscribe for a service it should be activated throughout... I know there will be no impact of this complaint but i just want to suggest people please never go for tata phones... I have not seen a single people who is happy with indicom.

Service barred without explanation!
I have 3 (2 mobile + 1 walky) connections of tata indicom. When i was in roaming location and my due date was still not over, they have stopped my services without any explanation and prior intimation resulting to a mental harassment to me and my family. Few customer care executives are very rude and bang the call after unable to give a proper explanation. i have already paid then vide cheque no. 368852 of HDFC Bank, sarat bose road branch dated 24.01.07. but till date my service is barred. Even my incoming service is barred.

No CSR available
Upon dialing customer service number of Tata Indicom, you get forwarded from one menu to the other. If you have a problem not solvable by the available menus then it is impossible to reach a human CSR to ask your questions. The IVRS system says "dial 9 to talk to an operator" but on dialing 9, you are forwarded to a voice-based IVRS and on exploring the full menu still there is no trace of an operator whom you can ask your question. This whole process takes up to 10 minutes and still you do not get an answer making it very frustrating.

Tata Indicom services are very poor
I made a payment of Two mobile phones of Tata Indicom through Easy bill on 30th Dec06. But I received a message that as I have not made the payment my services will be disconnected. I received a call from their call center and was advised to make the payment. I told them that I have already made the payment and gave them the details of my bill. Still next day my services were suspended. After calling them they advised that they are logging a complaint and they activated my services. Then again after 2 days my services were suspended and I was advised that it will take around 72 hrs. Then I called Easy bill and was advised that the problem is at their end and services will be activated and services were activated in 3 hrs. Then again after 2 days my services are suspended and I have called 3 times and First time I was advised that services will be activated in next 6 hrs and after 6 hrs I have been advised that my services will be activated in next 24 hrs. I am going to the consumer court and press to log a complaint as Tata Indicom services are very poor. I have a corporate connection in IBM and I am going to complain in our HR department not to entertain any services from TATA indicom.

Non refund of deposit
I have shifted my tataindicoam phone from post paid to pre paid on 27-6-2006 and requested refund of deposit. Phone is shifted to prepaid but deposit is not refunded even after visiting customer care for 3 times. Tata cheats customers!

Refusal to transfer the connection
I have subscribed for a prepaid Tata Indicom Broadband connection. The subscription is for 6 months. But now when after 3 months I have changed my house & want the connection to be transferred to the new address but they are refusing to do that. Very poor service from TATA Indicom.

Economic harassment
I applied for disconnecting two of my Tata Indicom mobiles and after 50 days still the phones are active and am paying the rent for them.

Have logged complaint several times and is every time assured that Tata Indicom technical team will follow up after 48 hrs but 48 Hrs never show up.

Their office people mislead and say that the phone has been disconnected, and asking customer care reveals the truth that nothing has been done and be ready to pay for next bill.

I am highly frustrated by the service provided by such a great Brand Name (TATA) in India.

"No Customer Focus" is their logo, this is at max i can say about the service provider.

Defective Walky, poor service
I had a Walky from Tata Indicom. The instrument got defective and the company changed the instrument after much haggling (they keep saying they don't have spare instruments of same type). However, they gave an older type of the instrument, promising that whenever the new type is available, they will replace. However, the time has never come. In spite of repeated calls, they are yet to change and provide me the newer model (my internet kit is operable only on the newer type LSP 350T but they have given me LSP 345 currently).

In addition, they ask for Rs. 1000 to provide me the newer version of the phone (which was the one I was formerly having with me). Suggest everyone do not use TATA Indicom Walky.
