They take more than a week to address any connectivity issues
I have Tata indicom broadband prepaid internet connectivity since 6 months. I renew it every 3 months. I have renewed the connection 2 times now.
The internet connectivity was stopped on 30th April, 2008 and i lodged a complaint through customer care. A field engineer visited house on 4th May, 2008 and took the router (router is essential to connect my computer to internet) saying the router is not working. My account got suspended on 8th May, since the last date of the validity period was 7th May, 2008. The customer care assured me on 30th April, 2008 that the issue will be addressed within 24 working hours and the issue has not been addressed even after 9 days. Right now there is no router at home.
Now when i call up customer care to replace the router, he is asking me to renew the connection and only then they will give address the issue.
I have faced several problems before with tata indicom, where i lodge a complaint and they take more than a week to address any connectivity issues.

Pathetic service with pathetic and lousy technicians
I bought the usb modem wireless from tata indicom at Pune. But i got transferred to bangalore after a month. They have not given me a bill for the usb modem which they had told me will be given with the sim. After calling them atleast 50 times still no bill has been provided to my relatives house at Pune. After too much shouting and irritation i got a bill through email without an authorised signature. Now i have given for disconnection and it has not been disconnected for the past 20 days. i dont know how much more of money would be wasted. PATHETIC SERVICE WITH PATHETIC AND LOUSY TECHNICIANS . Hope that it gets disconnected soon otherwise i am getting charged in the process for the service which i dont use.Who takes 20 days for disconnection!! i have used other internet services like airtel and they have been very good. If in India the judicial system would have been good I could have sued them. But thats also not possible. So just hoping. I feel we are helpless against them. They think that anything they do, it s well and good. But we should prove them wrong.

They are not responding to my calls and mails
I applied on 9th January 2008. After repeated request, they installed the instrument of 26th Janaury 2008. They have not activated the connection. The instrument is keep on beeping. They have collected deposit from me. They are not responding to my calls and mails. I have proof for these.

Worst ever possible connection
I have a tata indicom broadband connection (unlimited 6 month plan) since July 2007. Though Tata indicom is known for its vices we eventually had to revert to them as we didnt have any other option. Actualy Airtel doesnt provide service in my area (Jayanagar 7th blk) and it takes too long to get a bsnl connection. Initially the service was pretty ok. Then it started showing up. The connection used to be down normally on weekends for around 24 hrs. Though its frustrating we somehow beared it as atleast it used to come back after that. This started happening very frequently. If you contact customer care the only thing they tell is "restart the modem". One fine day that is on Nov 1st the connection went down as usual, but never came back till date!!! I have been giving complaints on complaints but in vain. To our horror a couple of times our complaint was closed wihtout even contacting us once. Yesterday one of their engineers told me that there is some installation work goin on and they are shifting their infrastructure etc etc.. I really feel helpless now. As a final resort i am thinking of filing a complaint in the consumer court. Hope atleast this will help!!! As a word of final advice i pleed everyone "DO NOT EVER GO FOR TATA INDICOM BROADBAND". Worst ever possible connection.

Despite the fact that i had already paid the bill, i had to suffer so much
I am a subsciber of postpaid tata indicom mobile phone services. I had paid my telephone bill for the month of September on 24th September, 2007 through cheque and the last date for submission of the bill was 28th September, 2007. On the morning of 9th October, i found that i was not able to make any outgoing calls, infact my outgoing as well as incoming calls and messages were barred.When i called up customer care, they told me that all the calls were barred due to non payment of bill amount for September.since neither i could make any calls nor receive any, i had to suffer a lot in my job. Despite the fact that i had already paid the bill, i had to suffer so much.

I am getting daily threaten call form collection department
I am a TATA indicom customers since 6 Years, I availed a services of wireless connection with Internet facility inbuilt with Modem. Hence i was been communicated a speed of 115 Kpbs before activation of connection but when i used it i was getting a speed of 1 to 8 Kpbs and sometime when i gets connected to net after a mins it get disconnected in between opening a site. So in technical terms it take time more than a min to open a site and hence My time get wasted and have been charged more than Rs 600 a Mths.when i contacted a customer service agent a Executive named Leena. She dont even botherd to take my complaint and disconnected my call. Then after a collection agent called me a communicated Please pay bill we will revert the charges in next bill. So I made payment and was shocked to see my next bill there was no revert and they have again charged me Rs: 500 for use of internet. Requested many times in Local office and in customer service but all gone in vain.Now my telephone outgoing is barred and I am getting daily threaten call form collection department " Make payment you used it and you have to make payment or we will see you".

There is no refund option
Ever since i took the Tata Indicom connection, it has been getting disconnected every week and it takes the service men another week to get it fixed. The last time i could not connect for a month and a half, and I was told that my account would get extended by 2 months because i did not have connectivity for such a long period. But I can see that the extension has been given only for 13 days !!! Every time i call up the customer service they put me on hold for ages, register a new complaint and tell me they will process this in 72 hours and get back-but it NEVER HAPPENS !!! I am really fed up their service(or the lack of it) and i think i have spent more on my phone calls to the customer service than on my internet. Also there is no refund option, and since its a prepaid connection, i am really really stuck!!!

Every phone consultant that I speak to is very courteous but I do not see any results
My broadband connection at home has not been working from 14th July 2007. I have called the same day and registered a complaint. I was told that the problem will be resolved within 10 working hours, but alas, even to this day, the connection is not up.
I call everyday and remind them of my problem. Every phone consultant that I speak to is very courteous but I do not see any results. I have been told umpteem times that they would call me back shortly to update me on the status, but none has called back till date.
I had believed that Tatas were a good customer focused organization, but I need to relook at this belief now. I would think that Tatas would have some kind of an escalation system that would alert senior people once the problem is not resolved for a pre-set number of days; but experience is that such a system just does not exist or the senior folks at Tata Indicom are just a bunch of incompetent people or worse arrogant.

I am very enraged at their behavior
I have asked for Internet connection from Tata Indicom on 3rd of July. They told me that the connection will be given within a span of 5 working days. But I got a call from them after one week saying that the connection was rejected because Im staying at bachelor accomodation. I asked them to give explanation and it was said that I have to pay another 500 rupess which was not stated anywhere ans was not even stated by their executive.
Still I paid the amount and till now I have been waiting. There is no proper response from their part too. My calls to the executives mobile are cut abruptly. Im very enraged at their behaviour. Very disappointed.

Unresponsive customer service
I booked a connection of Tata Indicom in the month of November, 2006 but i received my handset on 12, January2007 and i received my bill of the month of November, 2006 to January 2007.And i am continuously complaining on my help line 1515 but they are not responding and they are saying we cant do anything in this case.
