Malfunctioning instrument, poor network & shoddy service
We are Walky customers since more than 3 years. Everything about the walky
telephone can be called shoddy.

The net work is so poor that when we call a telephone or mobile within 2 kms ridiculous, the message says 'out of service area'.

The telephone instrument as well as network is malfunctioning since beginning as a result of which net work is off in the middle of a conversation necessitating the caller from the other side or we ourselves have to dial again whereby we have to spend for 2 or 3calls for both receiving or calling which only enriches the Indicom co.

The dealer who supplied the instrument & connection is not accepting complaints but tells us to carry the instruments to all corners of Mumbai and at no time the Indicom authorities have visited our home for customer service nor they cared to phone us on receipt of complaints by their dealers.

I would like to surrender the Indicom connection and go for Reliance landlines or some other service.

Kindly expedite disconnection & refund the deposit at the earliest under advice to us.

Fake people
Dear readers,

The Agencies working for TATA Indicom are really giving fake commitments to new / fresh customers. As i applied for TATA Indicom Walky 1 month back and till date (30th Aug 07) not been installed. Every time i asked regarding the same, people said " system me check karke batate hai 10 min. me " and they will disconnect the line. Very poor service.

Internet charges and billing
I purchase a walky from true value shopy at ramgarh (jharkhand) for internet connection from my pc since last month.according to company publicity ad internet access charges is rs.2 per mb. At the time of purchase there in no any balance provided to me in the walky. After contact customer care, i know that there is a balance of rs.25 at the time of new connection. When i connect my pc to internet with the help of walky, i show the charges apply by the company are very bad. After use of 1 hrs services, company cut rs. 70 to 100 from my balance. I shocked, when i contact to customer care they answer me they know nothing about this thing. They said that we don't do anything for you, we only know that the data transfer charges are rs.2 per mb. When i contact with true value shopy for my problems they misbehaved me and say we don't do anything for you because this is happen due to company charges applicable for internet connection. I reply them that the charges cut from my balance are in the ratio of kb not mb. The walky shows that i use some mb but that is nothing beacuse i use some kb. There is no any person in customer care in jharkhand circle who know that what is difference between kb and mb.

People beware!!!

Pathetic internet speed
One day, unfortunately I decided to go for TATA Indicom Walky service. I am a die hard internet user and I thought that I would use the promised walky internet speed of 115.2 kbps, even though the charges were mind boggling! But when I started using the service, I was hardly able to open any site properly, even after disconnecting and reconnecting my connection several times, forget downloading big files, and the bills I received were huge! I wanna sue TATA!

Cheater Tata Indicom
I am using tata indicom walky phone for internet from 1 year, last week one tataindicom representative (Ms. Archana Manlar, Mob.No. 9371904482) came & forced for taking cordless walky phone for better speed & suggest for cancel old one. I take the new phone but the internet speed is same, then i checked for plan in their office but for that phone no internet plan is available & for cancellation extra money is demanded.

Non receipt of security deposit!
I have surrendered my tata indicom walky on the date of 5/3/2007 at cannaught place hub new delhi agency code is CPTVH. Whereas my account no. was 9001676291 and the telephone no. was 011-65875693. Now three months has passed away but the refund of security deposit of Rs. 1000/- is still not received.

Tata is a big cheater!

I have purchased a tata indicom walky and the agent told that they have good network but now it does not have proper network . Its really bad.

Fraud or incompetence?
I had booked a tata indicom walky for my aged parents as their area does not have landlines on April 11th. After repeated calls they came on 9th May and filled the required forms and collected Rs.560/- rs from my DAD with a promise that the phone will be installed ASAP. the Application # and receipt # is KR00036030. today is the 14th already and nobody has come. Calls to the customer service shows no remittance of the amount. They take down the complaint (Compl. # 708255) and say they will get back. When we ask for a superior officer they don't give the details claiming ignorance. Is this the height of inefficiency of a supposedly top company or is it a case of FRAUD!!!

Out of order
I am very old customer of tata indicom & having postpaid walky connection no. 011-65909010 which is not working since 5th of january 2007 & at the time of complaint to the company they promised me to solve this problem within 12 hours but nothing happened then they promised to solve it within 24 hours but till today the 10th jan. 07 nothing happened but only promised & excused. This is the kind of service they are providing to their clients & i am suffering a lot because this no. Is working at my office & i am not able to contact any of my customers here in delhi & also all other activities of my business are stooped.

Exploitation
The walky connection is two years old. It is used primarily for STD calls. We discovered last month that we are paying far higher rates than prevalent at present. On complaining, we were told it is our fault as we had not changed from our 'obsolete' plan to the current One India plan.

Change to the new plan was refused until January 2007.

Finally, since the last week, the phone is disconnected, despite regular payment of bills for the last two years.

Have now resolved to stop using the service and have taken an Airtel fixed line instead.
