It is very sad on part of company like TATA that their new product TATA Manza is like a nightmare for the customer
It is very sad on part of company like TATA that their new product TATA Manza is like a nightmare for the customer. I have purchased the car in Dec'2009 & just in five months of operation three breakdown has occured. Intitally it was problem in clutch then in timing belt & again yesterday again vehicle was breakdown due to clutch problem. For a customer who has spent around 6.0 lac for purchasing the vehicle is feeling cheated as no body will expect such a breakdown in such short time. It has now become the reliability issue as taking this vehicle on longer drive will be going for some adventure.

Service center is taking so many days for repair
I have purchase the above vehicle on 27-12-07 and under extended warrenty period of 18 month after manufactured warrenty. My vehicle as done 29, 800kms only after 30 months. During warrenty period there was engine oil leakage arises as per my complaint they rectified and given after 4 days in the month of March09 and also regularly i have take care of servicing as per company norms. But last sunday suddenly in the middle of the road vehicle stoped and not yet started and sent to garrage of concered and found that the vehicle timering belt has been broken, the company persons are explaining that due to broken of timmering blet, valves and nozzels are to be replaced, and its cost toworked out to Rs.60, 000/-. This is fault of manifaturing of Dicor engen only not by my driving or maintainance. and the service center is taking so manu days for repair. There is a no such a problems like change of engine valves and nozzels etc., in other models and other companies vehicles. I have paid extra cost and purchased extra worries, due purchase this company new model.

Wiper operating combination switch found defective
Wiper operating combination switch found defective. Matter was taken with Service divn. They assured to replace while first servicing but the spare assembly was not available, And till today the matter is pending with no responce from Dealer.

Sold to me totally defective vehicle
Basically the Vehicle which has been delivered / Sold to me is totally defective and has been creating a lots of problems daily to me. Every day there is one or another problem and if the problem is solver (which might be temporary for a week or so) then some other problem props up creating lot of hassels to me as well as my family.

Stay away from them for your own good
I want to bring your kind attention towards a big product default in Tata Indico car manufactured by your company. any car met with an accident like this is a big product failure and when you are going to make a history by launching many new projects I just want to bring your attention towards this so that you can rectify this error.
TATA indigo LX purchased in 2005 caught fire while coming back from a small drive. Me and my wife, my little daughter and my brother were returning from a very small drive on August 15th, 2009. we have a TATA Indigo purchased in 2005 from Ratlam MP. Now we are in mumbai. The first one year was fine but after that we are spending some 25-30 k every year to maintain the car at its best. On august 15 th when we were returning from drive and paring our car in our appartments parking lot we saw that smoke started coming out from the leftside of the bonnet. I was unable to open the bonne tand I could see that fire is coming out. I asked my watchmen to put water on bonnet but that was failed.fire was not in our control. then we have used three fire extinguisher but that are also failed then we have to called up fire brigade to control this fire. By the great help of people around we have controlled the fire but the scene was heartbreking, my cars was literally under the fire.
We have called up the fire brigaede as so many other cars were also in parking lot, we know that our car has gone but we just want to avoid major accident as if this car will burst all other car will also affect and this can become a major accident
But it was too late. All the parts under bonnet burned out, including Pump, engine etc..! Finally after the huge rescue efforts we could control the fire without spreading to cabin or to diesel tank. Later I called up the service center guys and they came down to the spot with a recovery van and took the vehicle back to the workshop. Now they have estimated a sum of 6 lacs to rebuild it!!
The reason for the fire break out is still a mystery. Even the workshop guys are not able to find. They are telling it could be short ciruit.
Can anyone tell me that wahat was that...my whole family was on risk...If this could be on the way...then what happened all battery operated things will stopped and we would not be able to come out...I have my whole family with me...I dnt think then i will be able to drive that car again...i am scared...How i will believe on your manufactured products...

Avoid at all costs
I Have purchased the car in August, 2006 and got the all subsequent services done through Pandit Auto Pune / Bhosari and the service history is available with them.
Recently I got it serviced on 28/03/2009 from Pandit Auto Bhosari. I have also communicated to the follow up calls made to me about the service of the car, that I am not satisfied with the services as the car stops after 20 to 25 km running, may be excessive heat. and no quality checks have been performed while servicing. On 26/04/2009 I was survived from a fetal mishap as on that day while driving the car it suddenly stopped admist the traffic and when we opened the bonet the lot of burnt smell was there and it catched the fire and damaged the entire electic wiring.
Subsequently it was observed that the starter has burnt and I repaired the same at my cost and vehicle was given to Pandit Auto. Now I was told the the wiring is to be replaced and total estimated cost will be Rs. 20000/- Today I cannot afford this expences. I am put to lot of inconvenience and not mobile and spending daily Rs.300/- for commuting to my office.It was least expected that the wiring would burnt after 25 km travel. Pl look into and let me know how you would like to help me. In todays situation the other manufacturers are offering 3 years warrentee and free service upto 100000 km. I feel I am duped by owning the TATA car as it is hardly two and half year old and only about 38000 kms running is there. Pl help me.

In the last 2 months since I bought the car, it has been to the service center for repairs 4/5 times already. The list of complaints include: Faulty Braking (Front Right tire brake assembly was replaced-TWICE), Faulty Suspension (Rumbling noises over bad roads), Faulty Fitting of front panel. Faulty Steering (it has now been replaced). Every 10 days a new problem pops-up. My only request to Tata Motors is to kindly replace this car. It has serious safety/ quality issues.

In our car (Indica DLG Turbo) their is a manufacturing defect in gearbox. While changing the gear from 3rd to 2nd it is difficult.

This is the scenario when TATA Motors is struggling with sluggish demand
Car was booked on 03-Nov-2008, after 11 days i.e. on 14-Nov-2008, they are not clear when it will be delivered to me. I should wait for at least 1 month after booking of the car. This is the scenario when TATA Motors is strugling with sluggish demand. During good demand customer should wait for 2-3 months after getting the car booked?

The Tata dealer which deals with Palio as the authorized service station has proved to be useless
1. I purchased a Palio with the full assurance that the Tata-Palio dealer in Patna- Guinea Motors will take excellent care about service and warranty matters.The Tata dealer which deals with Palio as the authorised service station has proved to be absolutely otherwise. I had an insurance claim and got it repaired in December 2007 from Guinea Motors. So far the Insurance company, Reliance has not made any payments to me. I learnt with great difficulty over 8 months' frustrating efforts that Reliance had already paid the money to the dealer Guinea Motors who collected money TWICE from me and the Insurance company. Guinea Motors now refuses to refund the money and some people working in the office of Guinea Motors when attempting to contact them in person or on phone, either slam the phone or invoke mother and sister foul language! The Tata Motors representative in Patna is also in league with them and does nothing in the matter. This kind of behaviour cannot be expected from a reputed company which bears the name of Tata. It is a shame that Tata Motors has such representatives and dealers from the underworld.
2. Second service (6 months) for my car was due in April 2008. I went to Guinea Motors who said that they did not have the oil filter in stock so I should come later. I said that I was going abroad for many months to which they said that they would wait for me. When I sent the car for servicing in September, they said that now I would have to pay for the service. They did not change the oil filter either saying it is not available in India but charged me for the filter. And they supposedly put a Bardahl additive in the oil for Rs.500 without my permission and the car within 4 days started giving major problems and stalled many times. Probably they did not change the oil either, although they charged me for that. Then I had to get the oil changed again. This again cost me a huge sum of money. This is preposterous and cheating by a Tata Motors.
3. My car is due for annual service in October. Where should I go and where should I get it done as it is necessary for the Warranty and Extended warranty that I had paid for? The Tata representative in Patna says that he has no solution to offer.
