After paying close to 9 lakh, all I got is a piece of car which is full of issues
I bought this car in May 2008. On the day of delivery, I noticed that driver door is not getting opened. Delivery boys accepted that lock is having problem. It needs repairing. So had to came back home. Delivery was made 2 days later. In last 4 months, car has gone to work shop twice (after first incident)... I reported Gear Box problem, Steering Problem, Mirror and AC problem etc. Gear box is replaced. Power Mirror and AC was not working that was due to ignition button. It was repaired and advised to send car to work shop for replacement. Steering is very loose, replacement of which is not available as of now.

Mr. Karthik (Workshop manager, Hour Rd, Bangalore) is nice and ready to offer quick fix but that doesn’t help to reduce my frustration. After paying close to 9 lakh, all I got is a piece of car which is full of issues. Complete interior is loose, you can take any part out with little bit of pulling. Today, few minutes back, I realized that lever to open door of driver side is broken. Now to open driver door, I have to bring the window glass down, and open using outside handle.

I really regret of buying this. I wish either this car MUST be replaced or Tata Motors should pay COMPLETE money back.

The front left power window was malfunctioning from day 5 or 6 from the date of purchase
I have bought a tata indica from vivek automobiles in delhi. the front left power window was malfunctioning from day 5 or 6 from the date of purchase. after getting it serviced more then twice problem is persisting. inspite of my repeated request to replace the faulty power window they are not satisfying me. because of the faulty power window the rubber seasing of the front window was damaged for which i have to pay during the servicing.

I have traveled to the service station close to 15-20 times, all this with in 1year
My car is still with in 1 year of purchase and my car has been serviced 2 times, both the time my cars clutch plates has been replaced. Still i contiue to have problem with clutch, today i have given for repair agian for oil leakage from the engine, they have informed that the car needs updatation. Now my car is in the service station for 3 days for the repair, not sure if it will be fixed. In 1 year i had my cars clucth replaced twice, now enitre engine is been updated, all the 4 doors make noise, wiper does not work when it rains, lots of issue with sales rep, wrong expectation set while purchase etc... i have traveled to the service station close to 15-20 times, all this with in 1year.. i dont know what will happen to my car after the warrenty peroid. i deserve to have exchange of my car.

Rain water accumulated under driver seat
Rain water accumulated under driver seat . repeatedly took to VST motors trichy. They are not able to solve it.

Avoid Tata Motors Ltd at all costs
I had purchased tata indica V2 in the month of june, right from the begining the car had some problem with the steering and would abnormally turn to right when steering left free (Not a wheel alignment problem). I approached the dealerpoint and they referred me to the service center. I doubt without PDI they sold the vehicle. the service center is not Dealer service point but a tata authorised service centre Vijay Motors. Now the service centre officials would just cheque the wheel alignment and send back us without finding the solution ... I had to run the vehicle in as is were condition. at 10000 km I took it for second service on 21/11/07 and told the same problem with a noise factor added. they inspected the vehicle and the next day they called me up and said that the steering box has complaint and will have to be removed and and sent for repairs to another service centre which is not in my town and would take 5 days for rectification. its a week now on 27/11/07 and still I havent got my vehicle back. the noise is still there and the service person is telling that the steerig box has to be sent back for repair once more.

No response to my complaint and several calls
I have bought the vehicle from Pandit Automobiles Ltd. Pimpri. Bonnet door & Dicky door is not aligned. Also the right hand side door behind the driver is not aligned. I have raised a complaint during the first service. No reponse, got several calls from Tata Motors for the feedback. Assured to get the service ASAP, but nothing has happened so far.

Every morning when the car is started it makes screeching noise for nearly 10 minutes even when moving. Their authorised dealers are not able to help repair. I am told it is there in most of the Indicas. It is unbelievable that Tata is making such a product. There should be a solution. I am in Bangalore and I would appreciate if Tata Motors suggest their workshop where this problem can be fixed.

The worst service center, the attitude of the people there and no knowledge what’s the problem and how to resolve
This is to inform you that after a period of more than 8 months, from the date of purchase I am facing problem with my Palio 1.2 nv ELX. The very first problem the door light, which I figured on the very first day. Second was the missing problem. The third was the car running very tight and also use to get drag towards the right side while driving.

All these problems and with some other mirror problems I reported with to the Sanya Motors on my first service. I received my car after around more than 9 hours, but nothing was taken care off and on top of that without even asking me I was charged for Rs. 200 to clean up the break paddle. The worst service center, the attitude of the people there and no knowledge what’s the problem and how to resolve.

After my first service I went to US for 3 months. When I came back my car was due for second service. This time I took my car to HIM Motors. There only I came to know that the right hand front tyre is totally finished from the inside at that time the car was hardly done 3478km. I was forced to pay the alignment charges and there I came to know that the alignment was totally out. It was -14.98 where is should be +0 to +2.00.

I that point of time I started facing another kind of the strange problem that the car engine use to get switched off while driving which would put my life in risk as the break gets failed and the sterring gets very tight. I was also facing the missing problem which was not resolved in my first service. I informed for both the problem to HIM Motors.

They also returned my car 9 hours, without applying polish on the body and tyre, also did a lot of damage to my seat covers as they didn’t applied any cover to it. The driver and the next driver seat I received with black spot on it which I cleaned when I got my car back . The car did well for some days and again has started giving me the same uncertain engine switch off problem while driving, which is a risk for my life.

Had suffered a loss for both the front tyres, still facing a life risk while driving as engine switch off problem continues, wasted so much on petrol as nobody checked the car properly the alignment was out, still my expensive accessories are at risk as the front door switch are not working since beginning because of that AUTO COP which I got installed before the delievery of my car is not able to work properly.

May I know have I taken this car for my comforts or have I purchased a Tension for my self. Wasn’t the car was checked before delievery. As the problem mentioned above are the major once, there are so many other problems also.

This is my last attempt to tell you in what situation I am in and you have to help me, if I don’t get help than I’ll be forced to drag this matter to the consumer court and some TV channels which are helping customers are they are much faster to approach, with less cost and give immediate returns.

Waiting for a timely response as I gave you enough time. Would wait for a weeks time to see any action from your end if not then WILL go other way round to get it resolved as I paid the money for a new car not for the defective car.

I purchased by car from A1 Motors, I informed them too about this but no response them too. I thought TATA gives the best service but now my thinking is the service center open by tata are only for drivers of tata sumo and 407 truck. Sorry to say but this is what I feel.

Technical engineers of your service center do not know much about the vehicle
Technical Engineers of your service center do not know much about the vehicle. Hence, customer complaints are not well received by them. I, had given my vehical for servicing on the 4th of Oct., but so far i have not received my vehical dully serviced. A bill of about rupees 50, 000 has been made. There is no responsible person at the service station. Please do look into the matter as we are now fed up with your services and further will not recommend a TATA vehicle to anybody if no reply to this is given.

My vehicle started giving me tire problems as soon as it was brought into operation
My Vehicle Started giving me tyre problems as soon as it was brought into operation. On detailed Examination, i found that TATA is using some Chines Make Low quality tyres. On complaining, they called my vehicle for examination. Without Examining it, they concluded that there was no Problem, this was the first time they wasted my time & this was also start of My harresment, since i complaint against there Low quality tyres. Also on that this first visit, they were more conceren about the other Parts of the Body of my truck.

On contacting the so called Serior People in TML(Even the CEO), the next day I received a call from GM, Bafna Motors, Mr. Mukesk Dixit, that an unconditional change of my Tyres to any brand selected by me, has been sanctioned.I sent my Vehicle immediately. This was followed by complete day hassel. Finally my Tyres were changed to Ceat (5) & Apolo (2). But just As my vehicle was about to leave the service station, it was stopped & i was told that the vehicle will be released next day.

Next day i was told no such sanction was made, and there was a communication failiure. When the CEO was contacted (After repeated efforts), he told me that only a change to Same make Chaina Tyres was sanctioned & he will get back to me on the issue, which he never did.

Finally to my surprise, after wasting another full day all my old tyres were put back again saying the found no problem in them. Infact i had to fight hard to even get only one Punchured tube replaced.
